Lacked a lot for the price

Posted Sep 21, 2014
Pros: The breakfast selection was nice.
Cons: The pillows, the HVAC system and the insulation between rooms.
Location: Great location for walking to downtown events and places. Not too far from the university.
The room was stuffy and humid feeling upon arrival. You had to set the temp low to keep it running to keep the stuffy feeling out. The pillows were also very small and not comfortable. There was noise from other rooms off and on late into the night. Loud TV's, loud music, banging around...I finally had to call down about loud music about 2:30 when we couldn't take it any more. Then we had another "guest" knocking on our door at 4:30! I guess he was looking for the party we were hearing. After a long, miserable night I was more than happy to leave in the morning and was happy to know I didn't have to stay another night.

it felt more like a motel stay than a 41/2 star hotel stay. And it certainly was not worth the price I paid for one night.

Closest hotel I could book to Law Center.

Pros: The breakfast area was really nice, but I did not go there for that. Had coffee and it was very good.
Moved 3 times due to wet or damp carpets. Last move resulted in problems with TV. Paid $245 for the night, and it was overpriced. Next time I will stay elsewhere. I will have to get a reasonable hotel room closer to my conference or drive in and park option.

Best Hampton Inn in the U.S.

Looks and feels like a much more expensive hotel. Nice lobby, nice rooms, breakfast with a balcony to sit on if you'd like, and a great location right in downtown Austin.

Last Minute Deal

Posted Aug 10, 2014
Pros: The room was spacious and the room and bathroom were very clean.
Cons: I would suggest adding the valet parking to the room fee or comping it altogether. I've never had to pay for my valet when staying at a hotel.
Location: 6th Street...
It was ok. We got a great deal for the night so we most definitely can't complain. We were walking distance to 6th Street with was our primary focus, as we were having a girls reunion. The pool is more like a 2 lane lap pool, but the space an inviting place to be at the end of a long day.

Austin

This stay was very nice except for valet. If the hotel is going to make valet mandatory at least make sure it is responsive. After waiting to be greeted the first time we pulled up for checkin for more than five minutes without avail, we went searching for self park only to be unable to find access without a key. We pulled back around and ran in to check with the desk. We ultimately had to get out of car and ask the valet to take the car after check in. Otherwise the hotel and it's staff were lovely.
