Under Construction

Posted Jul 15, 2014
Pros: Good Location.
Cons: Need to turn AC off at pool, freezing cold.
Construction , pool entrance blocked. No WIFI all weekend, computers down. Staff seemed clueless on how to rectify the issues. Need a manager to get the place going straight.

Clean and comfortable, very close to Teaxas State. Fitness room was clean and handy. Lots of breakfast options. I highly recommend and will stay there again.

nice hotel close to Lone Star Roundup in Austin

Posted Apr 14, 2014
Cons: Elevator floors needed to be cleaned.
Very nice hotel. Safe and quiet area. Plenty of places to eat, and easy access to Austin. Within walking distance to Cabella's. Hotel breakfast was very good, and so were the complimentary cookies.

A good experience, and great location...

Posted Feb 16, 2014
Hotel was clean, quiet, odor-free. Elevators ran quietly, both worked and didn't smell of leaking hydraulic fluid. Rooms were clean, beds comfortable, shower was hot, commode flushed quietly (which is nice when you have several people in one room.) Pool was indoor - which might not be great in the summer, but since we were there during colder weather then the heated, indoor pool was great. Breakfast was tasty, breakfast room is large and we had no trouble getting a table. In addition, the big Cabela's store is only a block or two away, along with Chili's, Logan's and several other good restaurants. Buda is only 15 minutes away, though, with a very good local Mexican restaurant and a great Italian food place. A great hotel, in a great spot. We will be back at least once per year for a work-related event, and fully intend to stay here again.

Great stay in Buda

Posted Feb 1, 2014
My husband and I were moving from DC to Austin and needed a place to stay for a few nights. The Hampton Inn and Suites was a great choice- excellent staff from registration to room cleaning to breakfast ladies (more choice at breakfast than other hotels), breakfast bags to go for early travelers and convenient location. Will stay there again.

Nice and clean but noisy!

Posted Dec 1, 2013
Pros: Clean, nice staff.
Cons: Doors slamming!
Location: Visited my son in nearby San Marcos where he attends college.
The doors tend to slam and when you are trying to sleep (even with the T.V. on), you can't help but hear everyone's doors slamming on the entire floor. Seems like they need to get a mechanism that slows the door to a soft close. That one thing will make me never stay there ever again. I understand kids making noise, but this is something I think the hotel has control over.
