“Convenient to Airport”

I really enjoyed the ambience and the quality of the room. Wonderfully comfortable bed. And the shuttle to the airport was so timely. I did notice a charge against my credit card that I don't think was the correct amount, but it is still pending so perhaps that will be corrected. Otherwise, a great experience.

Area recommendations

I stayed mostly in the northwest section, which is very scenic and has great shopping. But the hill country to the west is worth driving out to.

“Awesome Hotel!”

The hotel had everything I was looking for, cannot complain. The free airport shuttle took only 5 minutes to get to the hotel from the airport. I had a flight at 7am and the shuttle driver told me the right time I should head to the airport. The bed was comfortable, the room was clean, and guest service delivered me a toothbrush even though it was 12am. They also have a bar that is open late. I enjoyed being able to sit and just relax with a glass of wine after traveling all day.

“BEWARE OF ADDED COST!”

If you book your hotel through Expedia and you have a vehicle you plan to park there overnight, be prepared for an added parking fee! We were totally surprised and upset to find out that even after paying our nightly rate, the hotel charged us an extra $11 to park our vehicle in their lot. This was very upsetting, particularly because the valet told us parking was free for guests. The front desk & attendant told us that Expedia does not include the parking fee. I wondered why a guest should have to pay to park there anyhow!! We were very upset. Otherwise, the hotel is lovely and very convenient to the airport.

“Bring Lots of Cash!”

The hotel is beautiful, the room service exquisite and the accomodations first class. But every thing you did other than sleep required money. Parking $15.00/night, High Speed Internet ($10.00?..don't remember the exact amt), you can use the internet cafe downstairs to check in but HURRY! If you are on more than 15 minutes, there's a per minute charge! And if you print out your boarding pass.... another $1.00 per page!!!!!

Downtown! It's AUSTIN, for Pete's sake. Sixth St., music, barbeque!!

“Poor Customer Service”

The shuttle service is unreliable. Although they are only two minutes away from the airport they take their sweet time to pick you up. However, the service to the airport from the hotel is wonderful & like clockwork every 20 minutes. The service I received at the restaurant was unnecessarily long and excrutiating. For starters, I sat at my table (of 1) for 10 minutes before the hostess came over to take my drink order. During this time the server was undestandably working with other tables but unnecessarily counting his tips at the hostess stand. The hostess never brought me my water and I waited another 10 minutes before the server came over to take my drink order (again). I received my drinks and proceeded to give him my salad and entree order. I waited over 25 minutes to get my salad. When I finished my salad my entree arrived then the fresh bread I was supposed to get with my salad. The time that passed between leaving my room and returning was 1 hour & 45 minutes. Too long for a table of 1. The following morning I submitted an in-room breakfast order and it was never received. When I expressed the issue at check out the desk agent didn't show concern or question the problem. In fact, I felt unwelcomed at the hotel. It's definitely not a hotel I would visit again, regardless of the convenience.

“Nice place”

The location was very convenient as we landed pretty late at night and didn;t have to drive too far for a decent stay. The hotel was clean and comfortable and we didn;t have any issues.

“Good hotel but not at right location...”

Very good hotel. They provide free airport shuttle but you have to call them to request a pickup (may take upto 30 mins) so remember to note down their phone numbers before you travel. Also, Remember to tip airport shuttle driver (at least $ 10/ride) or else you will need to wait up to 20 minutes to go back to airport. This hotel is located right outside the Austin airport and that's why there are no businesses surrounding the hotel (There is nothing around this hotel except for a long term parking lot). So, this hotel would not be a good choice for people, who think about stepping out for evening walk or to grab a bite. One tip for drive in customers, before making reservation please call them and negotiate for free parking passes or else you may have to pay $ 7 or 10/day. A cab costs about $ 25-30 one way to Austin downtown from this hotel. So it would be a wise decision to spend that amount on hotel reservation and get a nice hotel in downtown itself.

Surrounding area near this hotel is not what a typical tourist expects. Also, it costs about $22-30 one way to Austin downtown. So I would recommend spending that money on getting a good hotel in downtown itself. There are many good hotels located in Austin downtown area which provides same amenities and services (including free airport shuttle and breakfast).

You will read many blogs and find many websites about activities and things to do in Austin,TX. To improve your experience, try to stay in a down town hotel. Many tourist attractions are in walking distance in down town area. Also there are companies, which rents "Segway" and "Car 2 Go", which are perfect for downtown tours and personal travel.
