“Terrible Service & Loud Occupants”
The rooms themselves were nice. However, the service provided by the guest services staff was terrible! They were very rude and they hung up on me twice. I was asking simple questions, nothing complicated or rude. There was no reason for them to respond in that manner. Additionally, the soundproofing of the room is awful. I could hear people talking in the adjacent rooms. They weren't even shouting or playing music or anything. They were simply having a conversation. I don't recommend you stay at this Hilton.
“Small room and modest shower for the price”
Rooms were small and the shower was apartment grade. View was nice form the 26th floor to the west. Downtown Hilton made we wish I was staying in the Westin Galleria.
“Not what I expected”
First, the location of the hotel was great. Close to all the night life and restaurants. We saw tons of police officers walking around. Customer service was just okay. The room- I hate to say it but it was on the gross side. There is an enormous wooden head board attached to the bed and there were greasy hand prints on over it. I am not sure how house keeping over looked that. So it pretty much set the tone for the room.
“Great stay! Easy access to 6th Street”
Had a great time. Needed a reasonable rate for a hotel near Sixth Street. The Hilton worked out great. Thank you for a good time!
“Worked well for us, but expensive.”
Overall a nice hotel and friendly staff. Any food/snacks within the hotel was more expensive than places nearby.
“Great Value in Down Town Austin”
I've stayed at several of the hotels in downtown Austin, and I've found the Hilton to offer the best overall value for a 4-star accommodation. The rooms are comfortable and current, suitable for both business and leisure. The service is generally very good. The location is convenient to both downtown restaurants and the freeway. The price is generally more competitive than other 4-stars in the downtown area.
“Convenient to all downtown destinations.”
Been to this location more than once. Convenient to all downtown destinations and not far from the airport. Bring your walking shoes!
“great location”
The hotel is a bit pricey but the location is worth it. Its located right off the 6th st. close to the heart of the music scene in Austin. Its classy clean and everything looks new. I had great experience staying there.
“Great location, friendly staff”
Have stayed at this hotel while at conference. Very pleased with service (especially front desk), comfort was quite good and fantastic location (next to conference center and very close to 6th street for "after hours"). Internet access should be included in the rate, given the high night rates ...
“Girls weekend in Austin”
Our door lock jammed and Eddie from security was awsome. Only complaint I have is on housekeeping staff. They were rude to us and did not respond when spoken to. Otherwise great place!
