“Hilton Garden Inn, Downtown Austin”

The Hilton Garden Inn in Austin, Texas, is located just off I-35, and access to and from the airport is easy. In addition, it's only blocks from the heart of the 6th Street entertainment district. My wife and I ended up walking to all our destinations without too much difficulty. The staff is very friendly, the restaurant on the 18th floor is very good (the view of Austin is excellent), and the pool & hot tub are nice. The only negative for us was the police and fire sirens at night, due to the location next to I-35.

“This hotel is excellent”

Stayed in the hotel as we took our child to UT. Location is on I 35, which would be an issue if one if on the facing side, but our room wasn't. Hotel staff was aching to please the guests, and they bent over backwards for any request. The best staff I have encountered, bar none. Great proximity to 6th Street. We walked to Stubbs BBQ (don't miss the chance to eat there (8th and Red River)), and of course, all along 6th we encountered all those interesting people whose aim in life is to "Keep Austin Weird." I have seen comments here about parking costs. Yes, it's expensive at the hotel, but the location is secure. Much less expensive locations are available, but I appreciated the convenience and security.

Very good quality and I felt secure. The staff was friendly and profession. My stay was 4 nights and I would easily been satisfied staying longer. The room was more than comfortable and had everything I needed for business and/personal. I would definitely stay again and recommend to anyone this hotel.walking distance to convention center, entertainment and resturants.

“Exactly what I expected”

Overall nice hotel. Attended a conference 1 block away and conference hotel was full so I choose this hotel since it was in walking distance. Fit my needs very well. Free Wi-Fi in room and free business center in lobby. Room was clean with refrig and coffee pot in room. Exercise room was clean with several treadmills, a stairstepper, exercise bike and misc weights. Could see freeway from my window but but traffic noise did not bother me. Front desk staff was friendly and helpful at check-in. Would stay again if in downtown Austin.

I found it a decent, clean and comfortable hotel. The main problem was that food service was rare. Lunch was not served after 1PM.

“Wonderful visit”

A friend and I visited Austin recently to meet with several classmates after 40 years. The room was convenient to all the trips that we made while in Austin and was such a wonderful place to return to and snuggle in for the night. It was quiet, clean and comfortable. The staff was very nice. We did valet parking because of the location and it was an excellent choice.
