Not worth the money

Posted Mar 24, 2014
I've have better motel rooms. I had to call to have housekeeping come clean the room on my second day because they never showed. Tiny pool and area. You have to pay $30 a night for parking. Overall dissatified.

We sincerely apologize for you having to contact housekeeping to service your room the 2nd day. I have personally addressed this with our Executive Housekeeper and team to make this right. The cost of parking exists in the entire downtown market becuase of all the limitations of availability. Our price is lower than 95% of the hotels in downtown to ensure you are getting the best price in the market. Thank you again for your feedback and assisting us to improve our services for you on all future stays.

SXSW one day stay

Posted Mar 18, 2014
Pros: Location, Rooms, Services
Location: Close to everything, really great location for SXSW
I stayed the last day because I got a cheap rate over Expedia last minute deals. The hotel is really great, the location is probably one of the best (because you are right by the highway if you need to get out of downtown fast it's very well located).

Posted Feb 23, 2014
Ants in the bath tub asked GM to address it and he did not, employee walks into room without knocking. Girl friend was embarrassed. Checked out early. I expect to get my full refund!!

great hotel, close to convention center

Posted Feb 17, 2014
Pros: The hotel is very close to the convention center and the area is of great restaurants.
Cons: My room was not fully isolated from outdoor noise. There was some music going on during early night, but not as loud to interfere with sleep.
Very comfortable, very clean, facilities are great. Bed pressure is adjustable.

Not worth the money

Posted Feb 17, 2014
Pros: Location
Cons: Decor, staff, prices, especially parking prices
The room was dated looking. The bed was firm. The fridge buzzed all night (would stop for awhile when I pushed it). the front desk told me I couldn't ask for a late checkout the night before, that I would have to come down in the morning to ask for it. Overall, it was an $89 room, for $300.

Could have been better.

Posted Feb 3, 2014
Hotel was okay. I didn't appreciate being followed to my room when I brought in groceries from whole foods. Maybe he thought it was "party supplies" because they have a "zero party policy", but I'm not doing much with cheesecake and orange juice. Foyer on floor was disgusting. Maids were every loud.

Very disappointing experience

Posted Jan 29, 2014
Pros: I liked the location. Some of the staff were friendly.
Cons: The rooms need to be improved or reduced in price. The "fine dining" in the 18th floor restaurant needs to be advertised as a deli with a bar.
Location: Its on 6th street and most of the downtown is easily within walking distance.
We paid well for our room for a four day stay and every aspect of the hotel was a disappoint. The pool/hot tub is a joke and looked unattended. The 18th floor restaurant that they advertise so much about was barely a deli. Sure it was on the 18th floor and had a view, but at 730 PM ON A FRIDAY NIGHT they had the lights off and the chairs on the tables to 90% of the restaurant (not a holiday weekend either). So we took a table over by the bar, which was the only open part. There was ONE server/bartender trying to do everything herself. The menu was nothing more than a very very FEW choices of bar food that you would find in a hole in the wall. We ordered sandwiches and they brought us tiny SINGLE USE ketchup/mustard bottles. I swear to god I am not making this up. What was advertised as a nice luxurious 18th floor dining experience actually felt like we were eating at the airport! The bed in the room was uncomfortable and lopsided. The advertised adjustable dials for comfort setting did nothing and appeared broken. The bathroom was tiny, and the walls/floors were poorly painted, worn, and in disrepair and not at all what I expected from a downtown Hilton hotel. The room was NOT as advertised!
