“Great Stay for Families”

Great facilities, pool, gym and the breakfast ws fabulous. Nice quite stay for us traveling with a 1 year old grandaughter.

I had reservations for the La Quinta two doors down from this hotel. The minute I checked in at the La Quinta I knew I made a mistake. The people were not friendly and I was actually scared for my daughter and me. I did not feel safe at all. Thanks for allowing me to change to the Holiday Inn Express down the road. When I walked into it, I knew I was safe and the man at the front desk was so friendly and helpful.

The very best, cleanest and most well-run hotel we've found in Georgetown by far--and the location was prime.

“Nice Surprise!”

We have a tempurpedic mattress and absolutely love it. Because we are spoiled, it makes sleep sometimes difficult when we travel. This was not the case at this hotel - it's a very comfortable mattress. I actually intended to ask the front desk what brand the hotel used. 2 different pillows offered per guest in each room. Firm and soft, very nice. Hotel was very clean. Staff was so helpful. We were there for a soccer tournament and had lots of questions, etc. - very accommodating! Lastly, it seems like almost all hotels these days offer a "complimentary breakfast". The problem would be that it is not appetizing. This breakfast was quite good. My husband and I both commented to the staff how much we enjoyed it. We will be back!

“We'll never stay anywhere else when we go to Georgetown!”

I generally ignore opportunities to give reviews but am delighted to do so with this Holiday Inn. We were extremely satisfied in all categories and we typically stay in 4 and 5 star hotels. The decor, selection of soft or firm pillows, very comfortable bed, separate sitting area were delightful. This will now be our home away from home when visiting my parents living at Estrella. We had previously stayed at a place there that was recommended by Tripadvisor which we sometimes refer to. It was horrible. Outside our room late at night were a few people drinking beer on the stairs. The rooms were unimpressive and did not appear very clean.

Everything was great except we thought the staff should be more meticulous in vacuuming the halls and inside the elevator.

“Expectation were met!”

The room was neat, clean and just what we asked for. They had free wi-fi and good TV reception. We enjoyed the free breakfast in a nice room with friendly staff. The entire stay was very nice and no complaints. They had a nice pool and exercise room too, which we could not use because of our other commitments.

Bathroom wall had black mold on it. Room had a damp musty smell. Breakfast fruits were over ripe and choices were limited on everything. Hotel seemed abandoned.

“Need Customer Service Training”

This is a new hotel in Georgetown, and while we were not expecting a five-star hotel, we were subjected to some of the worst service we have ever experienced in a hotel. We reserved a king suite through Expedia, and when we checked in, we were given a king room. When we called the front desk, we were told that it was a suite and that maybe we shouldn't have reserved through Expedia. The clerk finally moved us to an actual suite, which was in the front of the hotel. The room's curtains did not close, and we were treated to the neon green glow of the Holiday Inn sign all night. When we requested to move to the back of the hotel, the clerk said, "oh, I heard about YOU" and refused to move us to another room. We then checked out and Expedia refunded the remainder of our hotel fee. The Expedia representative had to call the hotel to confirm that we had checked out, and she said the clerk was rude to her, too! I must say, this is a highly unusual experience in Georgetown, since we have had many positive experiences there.
