Vacationing with GrandchildrenPosted Aug 25, 2014
Pros: The staff, especially Jasmine who went above and beyond to accommodate us. The meals were very good and convenient.
Cons: The pool was very small. Breakfast was only served until 9am, fine for business travelers, but a little early for vacationers.
Location: Dell Diamond, Salt Lick, watching the bats leave the underpass, all of Austin attractions.
We booked this hotel because we needed accommodations for a large group. I booked a one bedroom suite for myself, my daughter and five grandchildren. The room was advertised to accommodate 7 guests, however, when we checked in, there was only sleeping for 6. There was no rollaway bed nor was there space for one. Jasmine at the front desk was extremely accommodating and offered to move us to a two bedroom suite for no extra charge, however, the manager on duty at first refused to move us even though she admitted there must have been an error for the room to advertise accommodating 7 guests. Only when I pushed the issue that there were 7 of us that had to have beds as I listed when I reserved the room, and I needed help accommodating that, did she suddenly find a two bedroom suite that was vacant! She did give us the room for the same rate, which was very generous of them. Long story short, these rooms accommodate one person less than they advertise... The breakfast buffet was good but it would have been nice if it had been served a little later. We even took advantage of the dinner one evening and it was delicious! The rooms were clean, spacious, up to date and very nice.

Nice to find accommodations for a large family.Posted Aug 5, 2014
Pros: We liked the separate bedroom/living area a lot.
Cons: A door to the sink in the bath area would be nice for dressing privacy.
Location: Close enough to the Austin 360 and COTA!
Every where we looked we were not be able to book 1 room for our family - my wife and I and four kids with one extra. They are mostly over 18 so other locations required us to book multiple rooms. We are a family for heavens sake, we can stay in the same room together! Glad this hotel allowed us that opportunity - given the chance to travel to this location again we will choose the same place. Thanks!

Hotel was very nice but easy to miss when we got off of I-35...larger sign would have helped. Employees very helpful and courteous. Hotel did not have ice machines on each floor but when we asked at the desk, the desk clerk filled up our ice bucket. Relaxing pool. Would absolutely stay here again.

100% satisfied...would love to move in!!!Posted Jun 3, 2014 on Hotels.com
The Front Desk was the best of any hotel I've ever stayed at; we were on a first name basis, so friendly yet very professional! Loyal to Hilton hotels and Embassy Suites...this Homewood Suites was the best overall hotel experience...hands down! Happy hour was simple with "serve yourself" beer and wine cocktails. I liked that because it was not too crowded...great way to relax and unwind. The pool was the perfect size for adults and safe entry for our kids -adults were able to visit while watching the kids. I'd highly recommend.
