Could not sleep. Too loud!!!

Posted Apr 7, 2014
The room was dirty and the air condition wasn't working proberly. The hotel is close to the highway so I couldn't sleep at all. The wall was really thin; I could basically hear everything the people next door doing. Plus, whenever people pass by my room, I can hear them walking or talking. The whole night was a disaster!!!

A RUNDOWN HOTEL CAN RUIN A TRIP

Posted Apr 4, 2014
Pros: The air conditioner did work and we did have hot water. The location was close to where we needed to be in Austin.
Cons: The hotel needs to be totally remodeled.
Location: This hotel was located in north central Austin. N/A
We arrived at 3:30 to find that only one of our two rooms was cleaned. After walking a very long distance to our room, we discovered there are no elevators so we carried all the luggage up a flight of stairs to the second floor. None of the hallway had been vacuumed in quite awhile. The rooms had paint drips on everything. The toilet seat was peeling off. We stayed two nights and one of the rooms did not have maid service. When we drove around back to drop our elderly mother and aunt off at their room entrance, the door was unlocked. We never felt safe inside or outside.

Keys for room

Posted Mar 31, 2014
Pros: The beds are very comfortable but the television not good
Cons: Bring back the restaurant and the lounge area. Make sure all doors are locked at night to stop stray people from walking the halls. Unsafe
Location: The location is great and easy access to travel to downtown area.
I check in on Thursday night and went out to conferences and meeting and when I return back to my room I could not get in due to the key was deactivated. Not only did I have to do it the day after registering for my room. I had to do it everyday. Finally one of the clerks said that my keys for each room was not set for the departure. But still the next day we had to go and get the key rekeyed. Also when we got to our room there was a big water bug laying upside don on the floor.

Please fix the door key cards

Posted Mar 21, 2014
We had to go to the front desk a few times because the key card on the door did not work. We had to swipe it 10 times before it did for the times we were able to get in. The electrical outlet in the bathroom had a chunk of metal lodged in it. No vent in the bathroom where the mirror was. Very humid.

Rooms next to busy freeway

Posted Mar 15, 2014
Pros: Front desk staff were very pleasant & knowledgeable.
Cons: This hotel needs major renovation. The furniture, upholstery, appliances, bathroom fittings are very old and antiquated, all needs replacement.
Location: Mount Bonnell, Downtown and other destinations are easy accessible through adjacent highways.
We booked a room for 2 adults and 2 teenage children in one room, however we were provided a room with a door connected to the adjacent room. As result we could hear people at the adjacent room playing TV and an infant crying throughout the night. The beds were only full size, which were not long enough for tall people, making it most inconvenient to sleep. Many hotels have sinks outside of the toilet, allowing it to be used by some family members, while someone is using the toilet or shower. This hotel has the sinks inside the bathroom. Bedroom ceiling has water mark from a previous plumbing leak. While most hotel/motels are phasing away the old jumbo size CRT televisions with newer LCD/LED televisions, this hotel continues to use aging CRT televisions.

Cheap hotel stay, but cheap hotel

Posted Mar 13, 2014
We had 4 people in a double bed room. Upon arrival we had 2 towels, so we had to go down to the desk to get more towels. They came in to clean the room the next day and took all towels and left no towels. For 3 days we had to go get our towels. They do not have phones in the rooms and our room key continually stopped working. We stayed on the second floor and there is no elevator, so be ready to lug all your luggage up the stairs. The lights do not work on the side of the hotel, so I didn't feel safe leaving my vehicle either. Lock on the door didn't work so we made sure the top safety locked worked. They didn't vacuum the room the entire 4 days we were there. The shower curtain is way to short so the bathroom floor flooded each time you showered. Would never stay here again!

Newly renovated

Posted Mar 2, 2014
Pros: The room was really nice.
Cons: The hotel staff could have been a little friendlier
Location: Good location
I was expecting it to not be up to par however, the hotel has newly renovated everything and it was great!
