Quick StayPosted Nov 18, 2013
The halls have a distinct odor, the room was very large and OK in general, the location was by the freeway so you can still hear the cars.

Great locations, good rooms.Posted Nov 4, 2013
Pros: Almost everything.
Cons: The old Howard Johnson restaurant kitchen facility should be refurbed and reopened. It could be a great restaurant.
This HoJo property has been here for a long time; at the intersection of Highway 183 and IH-35. The building itself could use some basic repairs (nothing major) but the rooms have all been recently reconditioned and are in great shape. Very comfortable bed, new bathrooms, new flat screen TV's with good cable. The large inner courtyard has a nice pool, a BBQ, a green area and some beautiful, old Live Oak trees. Front desk people were very friendly and helpful. The basic continental breakfast had several nice little extra's that made it better than most.

Hotel needs a lot of workPosted Oct 27, 2013
The room was ok but on the otherside looks terrible there are rooms that need to be totally redone there where holes in ceilings broken lights in hall. When I walked outside to pool area there where toys and bikes and trash laying across the lawn. Overall the hotel needs to be updated and cleaned.

Pros: The convenience to the University of Texas.
Cons: There was no hair dryer in the room, and the carpet was damp.
Location: The restaurants nearby were just what we were looking for. We were in town to visit our son who is a student at the University.
The hotel was pleasant, but the check-in time was 4:00 P.M. and when we got there at around 5:00 P.M. the room was not ready. Check out time was 11:00 A.M., so we did not get a full 24 hour stay. The location was good. It was close to the University of Texas, and also close to nice restaurants.

Great dealPosted Oct 1, 2013
Nice hotel and I got a great deal on the room. The bed and chair where very comfy and plush. Also very clean. The front desk staff was a little slow to respond to questions and inquiries but ultimately they were accommodating.

Overall GREAT for your buckPosted Sep 30, 2013
Pros: the inside only access to the rooms
Cons: the card code door on the side were our rooms was didn't work so anybody could come in and out
Location: 15 minutes from Downtown Austin, E 6th Street, the capital building and Round Rock! KEEP AUSTIN WEIRD!!!
The room was recently remodeled and I loved the color and lighting. The Executive suite was a tad smaller then I imagined especially with the king sized bed. The bed took up alot of room. The bathroom was gorgeous and cleaned everyday. The only down side I had was on the first day and trying to talk with the maid. She only spoke Spanish so the lanuage barrier was tedious. The rest of the staff were extremely nice and the front desk was always so helpful. The drive into downtown Austin was not bad at all and this hotel was only 15 minutes from Round Rock as well. Overall GREAT for your buck if you are on a budget!
