Honestly would have preferred to sleep in the car. Cockroaches on the ceiling, carpet and in the bathtub. Asked the reception to change the room. New room also had cockroaches. I feel the carpet floor, ceiling boards and wall partitions are infested with cockroach eggs that the only solution is to burn this place down. Avoid at all costs. At least the parking lot was alright and car was safe. Checked out 5am just to get out of there. Still have nightmares 18 months later

There were NO covers on the electrical outlets. Toilet ran, shower dirty with black hair everywhere.the chai lock on the door was busted. In general this place was a dump but VRBO cancelled the day before we left to attend the Formula One race in Austin and we had $1300 invested in tickets and were desperate to to find a place. I am ok with low rent places if it is clean but this place is disgusting and if you value Expedla's reputation then you need to drop them immediately. GROSS place.

Room was clean, there were no bugs at all. Beds felt a bit uncomfortable but for the price I paid a night Im not going to complain. Also the TV only had basic cable so we pretty much only had 3 channels worth watching the whole week. Biggest issue is the walls are very thin and the traffic noise outside sounded the same if the door was wide open or not.

Was in an upstairs room and there were obvious foundation issues. Broken/unusable chair. Roach & gecko in the bathroom. Was bitten by spider (smashed it!) while in bed.

It's nice it's quiet you're going to San Marcos you're not really going to spend a lot of time in the hotel. So for this work it's worth it I do recommend it I would stay there again everything all the water Recreation areas it is around that hotel. So that's a major Plus everything is around you.

This was the worst property I've ever stepped foot in. I could not believe how sketchy the environment was & how dirty the rooms were. The lady at the front desk was the only saving grace for this situation and she helped us receive a full refund. We appreciate her greatly. However, I advise others to stay away from this location unless it's for a quick fix.

Not happy with stay. Guest room was not habitable. The one chair in the room was broken (see image). The TV in the room was broken at the base and leaning against the wall (see image). Unclean smell. Paint in bad shape.

Great value for price. King room is a bit small but the double queen bed room is a great size. It’s spacious, you get plenty of towels. Refrigerator, tv, ac/heater, etc. work perfectly. Rooms and equipment is old but it works. The property is quiet even at night and allows for peaceful rest. Staff is helpful and friendly.

Great location but needs better cleaning!!!
My boyfriend & I stayed here for one night on the weekend 7/29/22. Visiting San Marcos for the first time, the location was great for the activities we were doing throughout the day. Upon arrival the room smelled. It wasn’t a really bad smell but it wasn’t a clean smell either. I thought that was the only issue which I let it slide since it wasn’t bothering. The water force to shower is nice, had no trouble with the restroom. Once we got back at night time, my bf put his phone to charge & after a while when we were getting ready to go to bed, we saw an insect (cricket) on top of his phone!!! Then I kept looking around and on the carpet, along the wall there were dead rollie pollies!! Went over to check for any bed bugs but there weren’t any. I was disappointed, don’t think I will stay here again.

The staff are the rudest people ever. I accidentally forgot my room key in the room while at the pool when I went to ask for another key the guy started saying that I should have called from the pool because I was getting his lobby wet NOTE the pool phone is in the lobby there is a sign at the pool that says that There were bugs in the bath tub when we got there

I paid $300 some odd dollars for 2 nights the room was stinky and messy AND small and the lady who checked me in was most rude. We always pick this hotel because when it was called the knights inn we were treated better and we looked forward to our next vacation. This is the last time we’ll be renting from them

My sister had the room next door (114) and their toilet was clogged and staff told them to go buy a plunger if they really needed to use the restroom. Our room was decent but will definitely pay a premium price for a better hotel next time.

The front desk clerk when we checked in was very friendly and knowledgeable. We got a ground floor room. This place is run down, but the beds were comfortable, the place was clean and staff friendly.

This was a great hotel for the price. You're not getting anything special with it, but the pool looked nice and clean, check in and check out was quick and easy, and the room was clean with a fridge, microwave, and working ac. I had no complaints, or unmet expectations for the price I was paying.
