“Very nice motel near Capitol in a great area”

Beautful place to stay walking distance of Capitol and downtown. Nice patio area and outdoor pool available. They had a great continental breakfast. There is mandatory valet car parking for an additional charge of 12.99 per night. But the valets are more than accomodating.

“Great customer service”

I had a reservation under my name for a room with two double beds for the evenings of March 16 and 17 followed by a shared room with one bed under my friends name for the remainder of my stay for March 18 through 20. The hotel staff ensured that there would be a smooth transition for me from one room to the next and would provide a roll away bed for me in the room on the 18th through 20th. To make the transition even smoother and stay more comfortable, the staff arranged that my friend checked into the same room I was in with the two double beds prior to his arrival. Please note that the hotel was sold out so I am sure the staff had to put some and thought into working this out for me and my friend. I really appreciated the great, attentive customer service from management and his staff.

“Surprisingly nice bedding, tidy, and well kept rooms.”

This place was very convenient to downtown and very affordable compared to other hotels. We walked in the room and were very surprised by the quality of the furnishings, tv, desk, extra chairs, fridge and general tidiness of the room. For the price of the room, this was like a deluxe suite!! the rooms are outside accessed, but it was not terribly noisy. I suppose we are more tolerant than some travelers, but we were on the 4th floor, and we were there during ACL so expected partying type noises, but were never disturbed beyond normal people noises in and out of rooms and housekeeping. Nice looking pool though we never swam. Airport bus is about 5 blocks away (about 8 min walk). Metro buses stop right outside so if you aren't renting a car, the bus is very convenient and goes to south congress and other places of interest. cheap transit. Lots of good places to eat in the vicinity of the hotel, and 6th street is about 10-15 min walk. We didn't stay in the hotel much, so i would say this was an excellent place. If i were to stay in the hotel, i may want a little more luxury, but for a weekend of ACL, and a few extra sightseeing days this was perfect!!

i highly recommend this hotel walking distance from all the sights of downtown Austin. rooms are big and very clean. i was on the second floor and there is a nice patio area where i had my coffee. I love the at home feel.I truly injoyed my stay.

“Best place for access to the Capital.”

This facility is right at the corner of the Capital grounds. Only problem is that there is no restaurant within a block.

“easy access to everything”

The hotel was clean, the staff was very friendly. I appreciated their courtesy call soon after I was settled in the room, it allowed me to request a toothbrush, which I had forgotten--which was complimentary, and since everything in the room was fine I was also glad they asked. Distance to the capitol and other state business buildings, even 6th street was great--I walked everywhere. I would definetly go back.

A very nice LaQuinta, close to 6th Street. I would definetly stay again, if I wanted to be more economical. Free breakfast in the morning. Parking is less than other overnight lots, but not free.

great location, staff and quality in service iverall, im not in love with the fact of being charged for parking in the hotel, but i guess its a little extra of the thing u have to pay to stay in a clean and good hotel,
