Inexpensive motel in central AustinPosted Jun 24, 2015
The room, to my surprise, was much larger than the king suite I stayed in at the Courtyard Marriot. It is very relaxing to have wide open spaces and more than enough room to maneuver through and around the furniture without feeling claustrophobic. It was great for guy traveling alone because it was big and inexpensive, but I wouldn't bring my wife and daughter to stay there. The caliber of people who frequent cheap motels are not exactly family friendly and I would not feel comfortable putting my family in that kind of environment. On a positive note, the staff were very helpful and polite and attentive. A few of my neighbors were long time residents and they were very friendly and honest. And there were a few that weren't lol. All in all, if you are a guy traveling alone on a budget, this place is for you (:

The room was clean and the bed really comfortable. Unfortunately I went at a time when there was a bikers convention in town and there was no available parking near our actual hotel room.

It's a Motel 6Posted Jun 5, 2015
Had people running around all night. Typical stains on the linens and towels, and hairs from who knows all over. It's a hotel just to stay in without your family if your in construction. Word of advice, lock everything up no matter where you stay in Austin

I've stayed at this hotel each year for the past three years. Since my last stay it was bought out by Motel 6 and I'm amazed at the decline in quality in the span of one year. No continental breakfast, chain-link fencing around the perimeter prevented access to the street I needed to use to get to my destination quickly, and an overall 'rougher looking' set of people in and around the area. Next year I will definitely pay more money to have a better locale and amenities.

OKPosted May 18, 2015
Cons: New linens and bathtub.
Location: Nice location to UT
Since only room we could find it was ok. At least freshly painted but stained linens. The linens were clean just needed new ones.

Staff was friendly room smelled like cigarettesPosted May 13, 2015
Staff was friendly, but for a non smoking hotel room smelled like cigarettes! No toiletries or fridge, coffee pot in room either. Close an convient to downtown/midtown. Denny's restaurant next door and covienience store next door also.

very averagePosted May 4, 2015
Pros: location and price
Cons: smoke from another room kept coming in; stop that, and put in a mini-fridge
Location: walking distance from Highland Station, a light rail station
It met the basic criteria of being clean, not too smelly and place to sleep.
