Nice trip!

Posted Jul 27, 2015
Pros: Hotel/Room/Breakfast
Cons: I would build another pool for Adults only. The pool was overcrowded with kids throwing balls around.
Location: Location was perfect. Near Downtown Austin and the Barton Creek springs.
The hotel was really nice and the added touch of breakfast included was great! The pool however was overcrowded with too many kids. It would be nice if there was an adult only pool.

Our new 4th of July get away

Posted Jul 9, 2015
This is our second time staying at the resort and both times we have really enjoyed it. This year we brought our children. They really enjoyed it also. When we travel we seldom actually spend much time at the resort itself, but both times we have stayed here we have found ourselves actually spending a lot of time at the resort (more than we had planned). I think this speaks to the quality and number of amenities. The fitness center, spa, pools, grounds, trails, and golf are excellent. The food is ok. The best part of this particular stay were the fireworks and independence day celebration on the lawn.

Dated hotel geared for golfers

Pros: Spa and food
My husband and I were looking for a relaxing long weekend at a 5 star hotel with a spa. This hotel was rated very high. We booked a hill view with a balcony which was the top room other than a suite. The rom pictures on their site show a nice size room with a desk and large club chair. The room had no chair other than the desk chair and no room for one. The balcony was narrow with just a metal bench. Our balcony extended down to a service elevator that had access to our balcony and our balcony door would not lock and even blew open several times during our stay both at night and during the day. My husband rocked over onto a tack in the bed. We killed a huge roach in the room. We were across from the very loud elevator and had to listen to that night and day. The food was good and the spa was nice but I would never go back
