“Comfortable”

The hotel is not new but has been maintained. It is the best bed I have ever slept on for a hotel!! Yes I would go back there.

“Ramada San Marcos - Not bad at all”

I did not expect much from the outside, but was very impressed with the room. It's very similar to the new Holiday Inn hotels. The bed was comfortable and the room was very clean. The free breakfast was slim, but for the price, expected. The staff was very nice. I would definitely stay here again.

“Escobedo”

Service was poor, manager was rude and did not care to help us at all.

“Not the kind of Ramada you expect”

This is a motel not a hotel. It was not bad for a motel but nowhere near what I expected for a Ramada and price. Stayed at the Motel 6 the next night and would rate them same, except Motel 6 was half the price.

“Inexpensive-I got what I paid for.”

It was inexpensive, so I got what I paid for. Room wasn't really very clean. There was 2 long black hairs in the sink. One of the towels was dirty or stained. The 2 chairs in the room wereworn up (the fabric).

“Intrusion from owner/manager”

At check in I arranged for a 12 noon check out time (regular check out is 11:00 AM). The next morning at 10:30 we were sitting in the room visiting with 2 daughters attending college in San Marcos when all of a sudden the door unlocks and in comes the manager/owner. He had not knocked and when he saw us he simply looked suprised and backed out and shut the door behind him. I have stayed in hundreds if not thousands of hotels and NEVER had this type of experience before. Will not be going back.

“Basic accomodations”

If you need a place to sleep this is the place for you. No frills, towels are rough as sandpaper so bring your own. I wouldn't use the coffeemaker. It did have an ironing board and iron handy so that was useful (although the ironing board cover looked like it had scorch marks on it but still usable) I'm not picky but the bedsheets smelled like they were once in a smoker's room and they had been washed with bleach but they couldn't get the smell out. I guess I'd stay here in a jam b/c it was cheap.

“Not what it seemed”

The pictures online were very decieving. The room itself was not what I had anticipated for the price I paid. The bathroom smelled and there were stains on the carpet and comforter on the bed.

“Worst hotel in San Marcos”

The rate was very low. But, the experience not good. The towels were like drying yourself with sand paper. The room was in the back corner hallway that appeared to never be cleaned. Just outside our door was a pile of ashes from a cigarette smoker. We will never stay at that hotel again.
