“Comfortable”

The hotel is not new but has been maintained. It is the best bed I have ever slept on for a hotel!! Yes I would go back there.

Clean, cheap, and comfy. We stayed a Saturday night on a weekend vacation. It was close to town and shopping. Breakfast was decent, filled the gaps. Was the best deal online for the price.

“Could have been closer”

The hotel was fine, but the swimming pool is next to highway. I wish we would have been closer to the outlet mall.

“Basic accomodations”

If you need a place to sleep this is the place for you. No frills, towels are rough as sandpaper so bring your own. I wouldn't use the coffeemaker. It did have an ironing board and iron handy so that was useful (although the ironing board cover looked like it had scorch marks on it but still usable) I'm not picky but the bedsheets smelled like they were once in a smoker's room and they had been washed with bleach but they couldn't get the smell out. I guess I'd stay here in a jam b/c it was cheap.

“Intrusion from owner/manager”

At check in I arranged for a 12 noon check out time (regular check out is 11:00 AM). The next morning at 10:30 we were sitting in the room visiting with 2 daughters attending college in San Marcos when all of a sudden the door unlocks and in comes the manager/owner. He had not knocked and when he saw us he simply looked suprised and backed out and shut the door behind him. I have stayed in hundreds if not thousands of hotels and NEVER had this type of experience before. Will not be going back.

“Don't Bother”

Been to this motel twice. Each time there has been a lame excuse why the wifi doesn't work. And I don't really appreciate the owners' kids coming in to get breakfast with the guests. Good location, but we'll try somewhere else next time.

“Just a Hotel”

You could really tell that this hotel was old. It served its purpose just to get sleep. There was new carpet.

“Not Too Bad.....”

For the price, it wasn't bad ... the room appeared clean but I found a shoe (not ours) under the bed and there was a candy wrapper on one of the chairs. But the room wasn't dirty like the other places we stayed. The staff was adequate. There was a breakfast of make your own waffles, some pastry and coffee. Our son goes to school at Texas State and this was the best place we've stayed so far, although we aren't really looking for luxury, just a place to sleep. I would recommend it if you are on a budget.
