Seemed seedy

Posted Jul 21, 2015
The hotel may have seen better days before. Seemed seedy to me. Stained sheets, dirty floor in the common areas. Staff was courteous.

I don't recommended it to anyone. It was not very clean and the room was humidity and I want a non smoking room, but that room was'nt a non smoking room.

I asked for a non smoking room but they gave me a smoking room and just sprayed some freshener in the room to cover smoke smell

Clean, comfortable room in a crummy motel

Posted Jun 28, 2015
The motel is a dump that has seen better days. It has a good location for getting around Austin. The room, however, was clean and comfortable. The wifi worked well and was simple to use. The flat screen tv was good, with a good choice of channels. I probably will stay in a La Quinta next time.

Rooms not like website images

Posted Jun 23, 2015
Pros: Close to where I was and price was good
Cons: advertising images
I chose hotel based on the images shown on the website. The rooms look nothing like the pics shown of the rooms on the site. VERY misleading! Over all clean hotel and nice staff. Advertising needs to be changed, it is misleading!

I stayed for 2 nights. I booked a non smoking room. I went to my room. There was a strong cigarette odor. As I walked towards the sink. There were so many ashes in the sink. And a sign that said. "Thank you for not smoking".and sheet rock in the bathroom was cracked. I went to the front desk. And the agent switched my room and apologized. Room was a lot better. But the refrigerator didnt work. Took my chances. If you really need somewhere to stay for a cheap price. Beds were clean. Couldn't hear your neighbor next door. That was a plus.

Cheapest=cheap expectation

Posted Jun 13, 2015
Overall you get what you pay for. Next time I will spend the extra $20-30 and stay at Red Roof Inn South instead of this North location. I've stayed at the South location and it was by far a better experience. When I checked in the two people up front took a long time to check me in while they were addressing other people's problems with keys deactivating and mix ups with room issues. I wanted to shower as soon as I got in and realized there were no towels at all. I called desk and they said they'd bring them in 15 mins. 25 minutes later they called and told me to go pick the up front. The walls in bathroom were dirty and the outside of toilet had some sort of grossness that could've been cleaned but wasn't. Around 2am there was some sort of screaming and fighting going on outside. I was even kind of scared leaving my car in the parking lot. However, we just really wanted a cheap place to sleep and you definitely can get that here.

Outside worse than inside

Posted Jun 11, 2015
Pros: The bed was comfortable and the staff was helpful.
Cons: Few people use the telephones and ours didn't work. And we never knew exactly how many towels and other bath linens we'd have; we had to ask for more.
Location: Traffic was terrible into Austin. We did nothing nearby the hotel, but the 6 miles into the city were slow-going.
The outside is scary--in a pretty sketchy area of town. The staff took us to our room to approve it, which was nice. The room was fine--not terribly clean and cigarette burn holes in the outer bedding and curtains. The bathroom smelled like a dirty dishrag.
