Austin Hit n RunPosted Nov 8, 2013 on Hotels.com
We met some friends in Austin for a fun weekend. we looked at some homes for weekend rent but decided on a 2 bedroom suite here. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the free breakfast was surprisingly good with a large selection. The staff was really over-the top fantastic, very friendly, helpful and welcoming. Plenty of free parking. on the minuses: not a large selection of restaurants nearby so plan accordingly.

Nice facilitiesPosted Sep 10, 2013 on Hotels.com
my family of 6 stayed overnight, 2bedroom suite with kitchenette. service was friendly, responsive, professional and caring. rooms were a little dated, but well maintained and very clean. breakfast was excellent, fresh scrambled eggs, red potatoes, and sausage with biscuits and gravy, fresh fruit, yogurt, and waffle bar.

Four Star prices for Two Star HotelPosted May 28, 2013 on Hotels.com
A week prior to a house flood forced us (family of four) to take whatever we could for a couple of days at short notice, we had enjoyed a long weekend vacation at a local resort (great golf course, swimming pools, multiple restaurants, tennis, horse and pony riding, etc., etc., etc.). While there is nothing actually wrong with the Residence Inn we stayed at, I can't help but feeling its owners are in a hurry to recoup the money they spent on its recent remodel. This place cost two thirds as much per night as the resort when a third would have been more appropriate. To say it was overpriced would be the definition of the word "understatement." Side Note: Have you ever seen those incredible miniature sets they make for movies like Star Wars (that look so life-size on the screen)? Well, Residence Inn has found a photographer that is just as talented at doing the exact opposite. The rooms were Europe cramped and if Michael Phelps tried to do one of his standard dives into the pool, I doubt even his feet would get wet (no joke ... the thing can't have been more than 20 feet long). About the only thing that was about the size it should have been was the paddle tennis court which, ironically, is about a third the size of a full size court.

Our stay at the Residence Inn South AustinPosted May 28, 2013
The staff were very friendly and helpful, and our two bedroom suite was spacious. The free beer and buffet on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday evenings were a welcome surprise. The location (next to the IH35), and the age of the interior were the only negatives for us.

ExcellentPosted May 24, 2013
Pros: Friendly front and service staff, clean and comfortable.
Cons: Lack of fresh elevator [all I think of}.
Location: Central to our needs.
One of the best stays on our trip, all staff pleasant.

Single father with 2 kidsPosted Apr 20, 2013 on Hotels.com
Good value for staying with my kids. Location not great yet easy drive to restaurants and downtown. Like better than a regular hotel as we used the kitchen.
