“Great location Great hotel for a Great price”

Service was top notch and we were right downtown. The rooms were clean and tastefully decorated.

“Comfortable stay”

Excellent breakfast buffet and a descent exercise room with good cardio equipment and adequate weight equipment. Hotel is convenient to the water front and restaurants near the water front and 6th Street. It is long walk to the State Capitol building, the state museum and the LBJ library. Avoid Red River road--pretty rough area.

“Nice downtown hotel, good for families or business”

We missed the famous bats under the bridge, but our stay was very nice, nonetheless. We loved being close to 6th St. and central to everything in Austin. Went for valet parking as it was pretty packed downtown. Hosts were wonderful, offering us cool bottled water when we were heading out for the day's activities. The Marriott breakfast was really good - get there in time for waffles. The lobby internet PC connected to the printer was busy a lot of the time. We did not check out the pool or the restaurant, but Starbucks is on the site! The room was well fit out for our needs. The couch was not comfy at all. No DVD player, and the TV "channel guide" was not usable. There was no menu for local channels - you had to flip through all of them. Lots of opportunity to buy pay channels, though... Huge frig for all the leftovers.

“Our stay”

The staff was great. They tended to our every need quickly and very friendly. We stayed in the kitchenette, and it had everything we needed. Even got to enjoy the exercise room, (if my spouse had told me about the indoor pool, then I would have swam). Great hotel with great staff, thanks!

3 women shared the room, which was big enough. We were able to walk anywhere we wanted. $20 cab ride from airport

“Could have been better”

If my room wasn't located street level, next to the laundry room and an emergency exit, I think I would have had a better experience. Someone pulled the fire alarm around 2am, so we had to evacuate the hotel and even after returning to our rooms, people kept going in and out of the emergency door. I would stay there again, but I would be much more selective about the location of my room.

“Downtown Hotel- Party central!”

This hotel is so close to downtown that you hear the music, sirens, and talking from every bar until 2:30am every morning. It is SO loud that even with headphones on, we couldn't sleep until the bars closed. Great if you want to party, not great if you want to sleep!
