Very good south Austin hotel

Pros: Location, staff, and cleanliness.
Cons: The elevators, which were sluggish and had two doors separated by enough distance that you could miss your ride.
Location: South Austin: stores, soccer, close to many restaurants on the south side of the river and to Zilker Park.
Clean, large breakfast area, great staff, mini-market in the lobby with pizza, ice cream, and other snacks for starving kids late at night.

Currently Being Renovated

Pros: Indoor pool.
Location: Great location. Less than 15 minutes from downtown, 10 minutes from the airport.
For the most part, our stay was fine for what we needed for three nights. When we arrived to the hotel, I inquired about using the laundry room and it was being renovated so I had to go to a hotel beside ours to use their facilities. We spent more than half the day at the other hotel because we didn't want anyone to take our clothes and their laundry room only had one washer and dryer. The next day we went out and when we returned no one had serviced our room. I immediately called the front desk and they brought us new towels and took our trash. We also had a note under our door and in the elevators notifying us the water would be shut off from 11-4. Although it didn't impact our time in the hotel, it would not have been good if I had to stay in the room with two young children without running water or a flushing toilet.

Horrible stay

Pros: Room had sitting area
Cons: Compliance with posted end time for construction
Location: Easy access to restaurants but traffic was bad
Hotel was under construction but this was information was not given at the time of reservation. Signs were posted that construction would be limited to the hours of 8 - 5 but construction continued to 11pm each night even after several phone calls to the front desk to complain about noise. No barrier was present to prevent injury to guests while walking through lobby where construction was being conducted.

Pros: I'm sure the revisions will be nice, when they are done!
My girls and I have attended this hotel five times now and enjoyed the experience. This last time though was a real disappointment. They have had the breakfast area under construction for three months now. I first came across this in December when I stayed here from 18th-24th. My daughters and I dealt with the temporary conditions, even though it was nothing like previous stays. This last visit was horrible. First of all, they have raised their rates 25% because spring break is coming. But to my surprise, the GYM, the BREAKFAST area and the POOL were UNDER CONSTRUCTION. Not to mention the construction guys going up and down the elevators all day, the constant noise, dirty conditions and everything else…including parking in the back because the construction guys took up most of the parking. WHEN YOUR HOTEL IS UNDER CONSTRUCTION, YOU SHOULD NOTE IT ONLINE AND ADVISE CUSTOMERS OF THIS. BUT, AND MOST IMPORTANTLY, CHARGE LESS FOR THE INCONVENIENCE…NOT MORE!

Very bad hotel

Very bad... Could not sleep... I had to change my room at 2:30 in the morning to a new room. Same problem in the second room... had to use earplugs.

Nice Room but....

Room was nice the only negative thing was that the breakfast area was being remodeled and sitting area was down the hall in two spare rooms.

Hotel and staff were great and happy to help. Location was great and near to where i was visiting. will definitely be coming back soon
