“Beware-High Crime Area”

This hotel is located in a high crime area. Our car was burglarized in the parking lot the first night of our stay, despite the presence of surveillance cameras. Perhaps this is why the hotel does allow cancellations. There are many unsavory types walking through the parking lot at all times day or night. If you do not have anything of value in your car, you might not have a problem, because once inside the hotel, everything is up to par. if you do have valuables in your car, watch out.

Area recommendations
Round Rock or Georgetown. We discovered that the further North you go, the safer the area.

“Only if you cannot afford better!”

Room was dirty. Smoke detector was chirping all night. Front desk did not have replacement batteries, so they disabled it. Since it was hard wired in, they just left bare wires hanging from the ceiling. Very poor water pressure in shower. Great location and price, but not suitable for the wife and family. Only stay here if you cannot afford something better.

“Ignore it!”

Very bad, too noisy. There is a wood door between two rooms and it is too thin so that you can hear the sound from another room. Do not try it!

“Not Impressed”

We wanted internet service because we had some work to do in the evenings and the two days we were there we were unable to log on. The front desk told us that they were working on it but while we were there it never got fixed.

“Great stay for a great price”

While the Continental Breakfast wasn't very impressive, the room was nice and clean for the price.

Area recommendations
Go check out downtown for the night life and great restaurants. For Shopping I recommend the S. Congress area. But pretty any place in Austin is a great place to be!
When to go
Go for SXSW if you want a really great Austin experience.

“Not impressed”

When you go on vacation you are expecting to every body you go is friendly. But expecialy on the front door they were not. The cleaning ladies they were almost throu in us out of the room to clean, was not even 10:00am and they were allready nocking.

“Would not recommend”

Staff was friendly, lobby was nice. The room was not the cleanest. Carpet was filthy. Found a crack pipe under the bed. Went down the next morning to check out and have breakfast. Cops were in the lobby told us was a bad area for drugs and prostitution.

“Nice, Inexpensive Hotel”

Our experience at the hotel was very pleasant. We enjoyed the pool, contential breakfast, and the staff. One staff member in particular, Justin, was very helpful, polite, and a great representative of the hotel. We had an a/c issue with the first room we were to stay in. Justin immediately switched our rooms and then made sure that we were satisfied with our room before his shift ended. He also greeted us by our names as we entered and exited the lobby area. The only complaints we have is 1) the matresses were "bouncy" and 2) the location was slightly inconvenient to get to from IH-35 north. We will stay at this hotel again when we visit Austin!
