Bad hotel stay

Posted Nov 3, 2014
The hotel room was on the first floor right across from the public restrooms. The noise was on all night long. People who were drunk just came in to use the facilities and were loud! There is a bell people have to ring to enter the building after 11 pm and boy, did it go off all night! The worst part is there was no way to turn on the AC fan since management controls it and only allows you to run it on auto!! At least that would have provided some white noise to drown out the conversations outside the room in the hallway!

Disgusting

Posted Oct 29, 2014
From the bad treatment at reception to the disgusting bugs in the room... The only good thing I have to say about this hotel is that their cleaning staff is very friendly but honestly this was the most overpriced garbage bag a person can pay for. Never again.

Get what you pay for

Posted Oct 27, 2014
Pros: Nothing
Cons: See the "Experience"
Location: Nothing to do near by. The map shows it being next to a mall, but that was apparently abandoned or under construction.
Having never been to Austin, it is hard to know where the dodgy neighborhoods are. Everywhere you would want to stay was sold out due to a UT football game, so we opted for this place since it was close to the metro that would take you downtown. The metro was rough. The hotel was equally rough. The queen bed was actually a double. The TV didn't really work, and the drains in the tub and sink didn't really drain. AC unit sounded like it was on it's last leg, but like the title says you.... get what you pay for.

Prostitutes...

Posted Oct 26, 2014
Pros: Receptionist
Cons: Cleaning the really dirty floors in common areas and not..letting prostitution happen in the hotel?
Location: There's a mall, its a very short drive to good stuff farther south.
First thing we see on arrival is a couple of prostitutes near the entrance getting talked to then picked up by a John. The room had all its furniture upturned (I am assuming for cleaning) so we had to switch. It was the only hotel available for miles around that weekend, and you mostly get what you pay for. Just take a shower and wash your clothes when you get home. The receptionist was pretty nice though.

Good for the price

Posted Sep 24, 2014
For the price, it is decent. If all you need is a bed and a shower then this will be comfortable enough for you. We did find crickets roaming around the floors.
