"Relaxed in Austin"
Hotel was great. Very comfortable. Room service could be better, they made two mistakes but were quick to acknowledge and fix them. Food at the trio was expensive. Breakfast for two with tip was $57.00.

"Excellent Staff, Location and Quality for Dollar"
We reserved two rooms. At our late arrival, the desk clerk was on a personal call and did not immediately hang up. Another personal call came in for her which she ended quickly. Our rooms were both handicapped. Although we appreciated the space, the other couple did not and asked for a different room. She was told none were available. We both did wonder briefly. if we were given these rooms due to our Expedia vs. Hilton reservation. Beyond that initial experience, the remainder of the staff was amazing. The desk clerks went above and beyond. The breakfast server went out of her way to find me a flavored coffee creamer, set a beautiful breakfast room, was friendly, and often when there were other tasks demanding her attention, she even helped dispose of service items when people finished breakfast. Tables were spotlessly clean. The housekeeping staff was just as diligent. A little boy spilled fruit loop cereal and although neither he nor his parents let anyone know, they were cleaning the floor in less than one minute. The room included a sitting area, king size bed, large closet, kitchenette and dining table. The bathroom was a bit dated (wallpaper appears to be from the 80's) with some caulking pulling away at the base of the tub, but everything was clean. We appreciated the quality of room for the dollar and the staff took this from an average experience to an excellent one. Thanks Hampton Inn team!

"Excellent hotel in the middle of everything"
A great hotel, basically in the middle of downtown Austin and right next door to the convention center I was on the trip for. Only minor complaint was the King Sized bed seemed too small.

"Would book again!"
This hotel is amazing from the staff greeting you when you walk in, leave and return. I felt like they were actually there to assist with anything I needed instead of your usual, get you in and out routine. Only downfall is 26$ valet but being so close to 6th, you can't really complain. I would recommend to anyone!

    Austin Hotel Guide

Located in mideastern Texas, the capitol city of Austin was originally known as Waterloo. Settled by German, Swedish, and Mexican immigrants, the city grew as the railroad system was introduced. In 1886, the Driscoll Hotel became the first Austin hotel to accommodate visitors to the area. After a fire destroyed the building, the space was determined to be the site for a new structure that would be the Capitol building. During this time, hotels in Austin TX began to be commonplace.
