“Freshen Up and Guest Control”

The hotel needs to freshen the decor. The wall paper was peeling in my bathroom. The fixtures were dated, and the alram clock did not work not the or the second one. The staff needs better training. I had a wake-up call that never came, and only made my flight because I am a light sleeper. Considering the few hours on uninterupted sleep...none with noisy guests and security not a presence to keep down the noise. To be a first class resort hotel....Quail Hollow needs work.

Any number of hotels off the freeways are excellent, we have always had good service when we have come to Lake County

“Quail Hollow for winery tours”

We have stayed here on other ocassions when visiting the wineries and found the location to be very well situated for this. The room is very comfortable. We also found the breakfast buffet to very, very good.

“Just okay”

My husband and I went to stay over labor day weekend for a couple nights' getaway. The staff was very helpful and were able to get us a king size bed room instead of the 2 queens room that we had been placed in. The hotel itself is pretty average- decent decor and comfort but nothing I would be excited about or come back to.

“Outstanding hotel in great location”

The hotel is well kept, and rooms are traditional but roomy. Quiet location despite being so close to I-90. Parking is good, but not great. Restaurant continues to underperform with unremarkable breakfast especially the buffet. Stil, I would return because there are many other choices for food in the general area.

Stay outside of Mentor, Concord/Painesville location of this hotel is great.

Dining

Don't bother with the hotel for breakfast. Their heart just isn't in it, and never has been even years ago when Marriott owned the property.

“Nice rooms, very clean, friendly staff”

We stayed here for a friends wedding in Chardon. It was a nice get away for the hubby and I. The hotel lobby is very pretty and the staff was very friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay again.

“Will not go back.”

The room was clean, but the beds were horrible. We could feel the bed springs through the old mattress. We did not sleep much at all.

“Okay - not sure we'd go back”

The facility and our room were nice, but it would have been nice to have walking paths. The resort is on a busy road and felt isolated. There is 1 restaurant on site, and it was pricey. It was not clear that resort guests could play the Quail Hollow Country Club golf course which recently went private. It was nice to have breakfast included in the rate.

Area recommendations

Geneva-On-The-Lake is lovely. There are a lot of wineries in the area. We also did a driving tour of covered bridges in Ashtabula County.

“no adjoining rooms”

Good luck if you ask for adjoining rooms. They weren't able to handle our request!

Area recommendations

This hotel was conveniently located to several nice wineries - if that's what you're looking for! (Like we were!!) Very easy access to the highway and easy to go east or head to downtown Cleveland.
