“weekday bargain”

Our room was clean and the location was perfect. The umbrellas and lounge chairs provided to hotel guests on the beach are a nice touch. Live music poolside in the late afternoons was a treat too. We were there for the first night of their all-you-can-eat "Crab Feast" and it was delicious. Since we were there mid-week, we got a great price. We liked it so much, we asked to stay through Friday, but the price was much higher for Friday.

“nice place”

Food was good, somewhat over-priced but room was very nice. The convenience of having a restaurant, an inside & outside bar & being so close to Beach was wonderful. Like other reviews I read, glad I didn't have to pay their brochere prices & got a better deal!

“Golden Inn in Avalon is a great place to stay”

Even though I only was able to stay for the one night, the hotel was a really nice place. Staff was so friendly and courteous, my cousin and I had a perfect little getaway. We would like to go back for a longer stay the next time. Also, we had dinner at Luigi's which is in the hotel, food was great and the staff was so accomadating. We arrived a little later and they did not rush us at all. All and all, a great hotel.

“Very Good Hotel”

Very impressed. Clean rooms, Clean lobby . Next to the beach. If you stay they give you a beach tag for a refundable 25 $ per person. Food is also good with respect to other joints at avalon. I woudl recommend it to families with kids. Every room also has a balcony. Front desk personnel's were very corteous and helpfull. Will book again on next visit to jersey shore

“Perfect beach location”

This was my second time staying at the Golden Inn for a late-summer week with my boyfriend. The hotel needs updating, but it is a perfectly great place to spend a relaxing shore week. By far the best part is the location - you walk out to the pool, through the beach club bar (delicious frozen drinks and reasonable lunch fare) and onto the beach. It is right between the restaurants/bars in Avalon and the main strip in Stone Harbor, and only a quick drive to Wildwood if you need boardwalk as part of your shore vacation. Coming in August this year instead of September, we were concerned about it being overrun with kids (like kids, just not on my vacation!) and we were pleasantly surprised that it was not. And the staff are very courteous and helpful - for example the last 2 years we booked through Expedia and requested a king bed instead of 2 queens and we were given that. Also, they let us hang onto our beach tags (2 included per room as part of your stay) so we could have a last day at the beach after we checked out. Would recommend again and will go back next year!

“It's a great day at the beach!”

Our family has vacationed at the Golden Inn for nine straight years. They've become like a second family to us! This year we had over 28 rooms occupied for a conference on-site. The overall rating from these 35 plus people was extremely positive. If an issue did occur, it was handled professionally and in a timely manner. The staff went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable!

“Great beach hotel”

Hotel was well appointed & maintained. Room was clean and quiet. Right on the beach with two beach tags included. Also only a couple of blocks away from the Stone Harbor restaurants & shopping. The hotel restaurant is ok for breakfast but would skip for dinner.

“Best of Avalon, NJ”

We were welcomed in the lobby with hot chocolate and cookies upon arrival. The staff were very friendly, and helpful. We had Easter Brunch in the hotel restaurant and it was very nice.
