Gorgeous historic hotelPosted Sep 13, 2014
Pros: Staff, location, historic nature
Location: Walk the wall. Roam the streets. Eat some yemas de Avila.
Friendly staff at check in. Courtyard of hotel abuts the wall of Avila. Incredible setting, even more beautiful than the photos!

Home of religious mysticPosted Nov 9, 2013 on Hotels.com
This is a pretty good hotel in a grim overly religious town. The city has beautiful city walls and dozens of churches, convents and monasteries.

Lovely Hotel in the old townPosted Sep 30, 2013 on Hotels.com
We upgraded our room from a street view to a garden view upon registration. Our room, and the hotel, was beautiful. Our room looked over a quaint hotel garden and was spacious and quiet. The hotel is next to the town wall, 5 minutes walk from the cathedral. This is the best property we have stayed in to date.

Quiet location, handy for all the sights,Posted May 29, 2013
Pros: Enjoy a drink in the garden
Cons: Carrying luggage up many steps
Location: By the walls less than 3 minutes from the Plaza Mayor and 5mins from the Cathedral. A little hard to find by car.
Lovely hotel - just what you would expect of a Parador. High quality rooms fixtures and fittings. Friendly staff with good English, Because of it's historical building it means that you have to carry you suitcases up a number of steps to get to reception and then further flights before you get to the lift.

Beautiful Parador!Posted May 20, 2013 on Hotels.com
The Avila Parador was steps to the Avila Wall, was very convenient and offered free parking. It was close to all activities and walking was not a problem. Would definitely recommend to couples .

Historic building within the walled cityPosted May 9, 2013 on Hotels.com
While our room was not unique, as had been the case at other Paradors, it was clean and comfortable, and the common areas of the Parador were very inviting. Breakfast was great and the staff was very accommodating. Location-wise, it couldn't not have been better as it was right inside the walls of the city and within walking distance of all the main sights.

Old world splendorPosted May 1, 2012 on Hotels.com
I traveled with a group of ten adults for two weeks. By far our six-night stay at this Parador exceeded our expectations. In every way this lovely place exuded charm, comfort and hospitality. Spacious rooms, meticulous housekeeping and beautiful art and public rooms abound. Staying within the ancient walled city was an experience my husband and I will long remember. We have already recommended it to friends.

AvilaPosted Jun 8, 2011 on Hotels.com
This was our first stay at a Parador hotel. The hotel was comfortable anough and the staff friendly & helpful. However the dinner menu contained nothimng that my wife could eat, so we had to find a restaurant to eat in. For the price we were not impressed.
