No restaurant during low-seasonPosted Nov 28, 2014 on Hotels.com
I've been to Ripplecove several times over the years and generally have been very satisfied, rooms are good and the setting is beautiful. However, this time, I was very disappointed. I learned that during "low-season", the restaurant (one of the of the main attractions of the hotel) is not open during the week, and adding insult to injury, there would be nothing open (due to our late arrival) anywhere close by. I had to drive another 40 minutes (after >4-hour drive) to get to a restaurant that would take us. Kindly, the hotel receptionist did arrange the reservation while I was driving. However, if I had not called to make a reservation at the Hotel restaurant while driving, I would have arrived without a good option for a meal. I believe that if you're going to severely decrease the level of service during the low-season, you should close the hotel or make it very very clear to the clients. After all, the rate for the room was still high.

Excellent ExperiencePosted Oct 23, 2014
Room, staff and food was great. Staff polite and helpful. Although we did not require the service there was no wheelchair accessibility or elevators.

Time to relax.Posted Sep 7, 2014
Meals were outstanding and service was courteous. Spa services were professional, though spa is smaller than I expected.

Excellent au niveau de la salle à manger (nourriture et service), adéquation entre la qualité et le prix. Déception quant à la grandeur de la chambre: prix exigé trop onéreux pour la valeur offerte, nos attentes était plus élevées.

Romantischer Aufenthalt am See mit gutem Essen.Posted Aug 4, 2014
Abseits am See gelegenes hochwertiges Haus. Holz als dominierender Werkstoff. Sehr guter Erhaltungszustand. Gutes essen und freundlicher Service.

An island of peace in a lovely innPosted Jul 23, 2014 on Hotels.com
This is a beautiful inn in a lovely setting on a lake. The rooms are charming; I had an exceedingly fine room with corner mullioned windows in two corners of the room--so plenty of light and a New England feel. The dining room is lovely, with many window or near-window seats and a terrace. The food, as you would expect, is excellent. This is the kind of inn and restaurant where everyone knows your name--really extraordinary in today's world.

Calm HavenPosted Jun 14, 2014
Pros: The food!l
Cons: There is no ramp for luggage and we had to "clunk" our bags down the stairs.
This is a very relaxing hotel. The staff is very professional and the food is delicious. Altough I wouldn't say the rooms are "perfect" (the bathroom was out of date), it was very charming and cozy.

The Ripplecovev Inn is abeautiful inn located on a beautiful lake. The meals were very expensive and caused us to eat off property. The pool was drained and was very deep at one end. The staff was welcoming . The room was very nicely appointed and the Inn had an old world charm. The bathroom was a little small.
