Great location/food and welcoming staff

Posted Nov 18, 2014
Pros: Location, food and service were excellent
Location: Directly on the sea front with excellent bus services available on the doorstep. You can walk to the Kings Caves and to Machrie stones
We stayed at the Kinloch hotel last year and had such a great time we couldnt wait to return. We were not dissappointed. We had a very warm welcome and we allocated a stunning room overlooking the sea/Mull of Kintyre and harbour. Our room was very spacious and comfortable. We ate our dinner in the main restaurant - if you eat between 5-6pm you can save 20% off the menu prices too. Food was excellent and the service was brilliant too. Breakfast was also good value for money, there was a continental buffet and cooked options were made to order. We will definitely look to visit again

A comfortable hotel with friendly atmosphere

Posted Oct 27, 2014
Pros: Sea views and welcoming ambiance.
Cons: In our room the door handle of the en suite bathroom was very noisy and awkward to use. It was very difficult to adjust the shower temperature.
Location: There is plenty of opportunity for exercise from walking to hill-climbing and local ateliers and craft shops have high quality goods to offer.
We go there for a few days most years and have always been impressed by the friendliness and helpfulness of staff. The food has been uniformly good and this year was no exception. Recreational facilities are available if required.

Perfect for cycling holiday stop

Posted Jul 30, 2013
Pros: Great location
Cons: Evening food standard, variety on the menu and pricing. Although the bathroom was clean and tidy the shower leaked all over the floor
Location: Fantastic location! Views stunning
Hotel was good, secure place to store bikes and staff friendly and helpful. Dinner was disappointing and over priced for what it was. Breakfast was much better and there was a good selection. Hotel in a great location as the bar was good on a Saturday night too.

Pros: Hotel location was superb and views unbelievable. Loved the golf course nearby with more views.
Cons: None
Location: As already stated, views to die for!
Loved the food and the friendly helpful staff. Also found the view from the room unbelievable - so good kept curtains partly open all night.

Magnificent!

Posted May 11, 2012
Pros: The friendly helpful staff.
Cons: None.
Location: You cannot beat Arran when the sun is out. Just magnificent!
After cycling from Brodick it was a very pleasant stay. The room was very clean and spacious and the whirlpool bath was perfect to sooth my aching limbs. A quick snooze on the four post bed was just what I needed. The meal in the hotel was good Scottish food served warm and in plentiful amounts. To top it off it was a beautiful sunset - to die for.
