“Superb!”

Beautifully renovated hotel with all modern updates done without compromising the historic characteristics of this wonderful property. Can't say enough. My first time on Arran and when I go back...and I will, we will be staying at the Douglas again.

This hotel has been very tastefully upgraded to a boutique standard contratsting to the more traditional sandstone facade. The prime location is directly opposite the ferry terminal and helicopter landing strip which do not impact nor impair the serenity inside the building. The executive room was both spacious and very well appointed and looks out over Brodick bay. The staff are well trained, attentive and contibute to the overall friendly atmosphere. The food is excellent in both quality, presentation, & value for money. The only drawback was the limited space available for a lounge/reading room, but more than ample outside space is available for relaxing outside in good weather.
