We were welcomed by a very friendly doorman and receptionist. They are a credit to the hotel.
I had booked the double room much earlier this year through a hotels.com and was surprised to find that only one person was booked in. Surely a double room would be for two people? Another factor being that I had added two people into the search criteria when booking. As usual, I was made to pay the extra for the second person. Not happy.
In the bar, they add 10% to the food bill as a discretionary charge. This is a disgrace. Either pay your staff properly or put your prices up. This isn’t America! Terrible for a five star hotel.
Our neighbours put the TV on this morning at 5:40 quite loudly. Not the hotels fault but just saying. You can get the idea of how we feel.
