“Memorable experience”

We were totally pamapered iby unpretentious staff - not always typical of 5 star hotels. Exquisite dinner, relaxing massage, fun with 4x4. If you want the greatest cheese board, Fergus will definitely see you right!

“Perfect hotel and service.”

Food in the 1906 was superb. A free shuttle bus ran us to the golf courses whenever we wanted. Car paking and valet service were free. Highly recommended.

“Wonderful for a special occasion”

I took my wife to Turnberry as a surprise for her 60th birthday celebration and we were not disappointed. We were automatically upgraded to a de luxe room when receptionist learned it was her 60th birthday. Room was excellent, staff were friendly, efficient and unobtrusive, food was perfect and the spa leisure complex was a dream. Couldn't fault it from start to finish. Five star Turnberry.

“Chilled out weekend”

Lovely hotel. Hotel staff very professional, friendly and welcoming, couldn't do enough for us. We ate in 1906 restaurant and food was fabulous. Breakfast is served in 1906 restaurant also and the cooked breakfast is "cooked to order" although if being very picky we felt that it was actually cooked already and kept warm in trays etc. Spa/pool area a little underwhelming but very clean and relaxing. We left feeling very relaxed and pampered. Would go back again and hopefully very soon.

“Turnberry hotel”

Wonderful experience to stay at this location. Swimming pool and spa is really special - when swimming one looks out to sea although indoors out of the wind. Dinning / breakfast room has same outlook and is delightful.

“Minor details”

some TV channels were free although they were quite limited - not even as many freeview channels on most TV's - customers were expected to pay for most television services and internet - from £4.99 per day which is normal for adult channel or film viewing but not simple TV little details like 1 - the turn down service in the room was missed out on our first night 2 - my main course at breakfast was served while I was still eating my fruit and the waiter made no appology or suggest keeping it for me until I was ready 3 - we also asked for white toast on both days and on both days we were brought brown and white

“Turnberry Refurb not to all tastes.”

Quite recently refurbished but has resulted in being too dark and characterless. Quality of food, drink and accommodation were excellent but staff ever so slightly short of what I'd expect from Turnberry.

“Not impressed”

Our allocated room was very small and in very poor condition. The wallpaper was pealing and the woodwork was in disrepair. When we complained we were given an upgraded room in the spa area, which was better but not what i'd expect from a 5 star hotel.

“Non-existent Management”

While we have enjoyed various dinners and teas at this hotel on previous trips, this was our first stay of four days. The room category that we contracted and paid for within the main building was not available upon arrival but promised for the next day. It was not forthcoming and we spent the remainder of our stay in a 'distant' lodge building. Subsequent attempts to reach either the hotel manager, or Westin Customer Service have been totally ignored. Hardly the service that one expects of a self-proclaimed "top resort".
