apartment breakPosted Oct 16, 2013
accommodation fine but assumes that you are on a self catering holiday you have to hire towels and are not supplied with washing up materials etc reception is very much part time and off season there is now bar/snacks except for breakfast a good base and within easy walking of Homps and the restaurants there

Excellent self-catering accommodationPosted Oct 6, 2013
Pros: Karen - the hotel manager! She was excellent and offered us lots of advice and assistance and nothing was too much bother for her. Thanks Karen!
We booked this as a last minute holiday following the reviews and weren't disappointed. The chateau itself is centrally located for sight seeing, however you will need a car and sat nav. The accommodation was excellent and clean, with a well stocked kitchen and the added bonus of a dishwasher. It was excellent value for money as we got an off season deal. The chateau wasn't that busy, which suited us well as we wanted to chill, however would probably avoid in the height of the holiday season as imagine it could be very noisy.

Well appointed accomodation in a beautiful settingPosted Apr 14, 2013 on Hotels.com
We had a very pleasant stay. The apartments are spacious and well appointed and service was excellent. The indoor heated swimming pool was lovely although the gym equipment was basic to say the least and needed replacing.

Location: Peaceful and interesting to be next to the Canal Du Midi
A wonderful find.. Studio apartment well designed, soundproof, very spacious and well set up for a family of four. Staff extremely friendly and helpful. The whole layout of the chateau with the separate apartments was delightful. So much to explore in the area. Carcassonne was magnificent. We would gladly have spent more time here, but had only two days. Will definitely recommend.

A very relaxing and peaceful stayPosted Sep 25, 2012
The room we stayed in was very well equipped with full size hob, microwave/grill, dishwasher, kettle, toaster and even a coffee maker. The were a few bits that could be improved on around the grounds in terms of upkeep but overall this was a very nice place to spend a week if you love peace and quiet and a 'get away from it all' holiday. Maybe not for families with children who need 'entertaining'. The receptionist, Marion, was very helpful and always had a smile and a wave for everyone. The Canal du Midi is also right on the doorstep with a pleasant walk along its banks to the charming port of Homps, where you can dine at several restaurants, take a boat trip or hire cycles. We stayed at in the middle of September so there was plenty of room around the pool but I think it might be a bit crowded if you planned to spend the day on site in the high season.
