A Very good place to stay.Posted Jun 5, 2013
Pros: Convenient, Very friendly and Helpful staff.
Location: The location is in a quiet area of Bacau, but very handy and convenient if you do not mind a short walk to the shops.
The Pesiunea Daciana is not exactly situated in the middle of the town, but in my opinion that is a good thing. The location is very good because it is quiet around there, and it is handy to get to the Railway Station if you need to. It is not very far , maybe 400 metres, to get to the main street for shops, banks, and the post office. In a courtyard right next to the pensiune are 2 restaurant/bars. The one that I ate in is very reasonable. I found the staff, who are on duty 24 hours a day, very friendly and helpful, and they will order you an honest Taxi if you need one. Breakfast was an extra 15 lei ( £3) but was well worth it as I had an excellent breakfast. Please Beware, if you are flying to Bacau airport, the taxis drivers at the airport are not Honest and will rip you off. I had a taxi from the airport to Pensiunea Daciana, which is only 5kms, and the staff at reception told that I had been charged double the proper fare.
