The property is centrally located. The staff is friendly. The curtains did not close all the way so bring clothes pins to keep them closed. The bathroom smelled of mildew and the floor always seemed dirty. The towels were very thin and I could see through some areas. The pillows were super thin and there was no variety to pick from. Bring ear plugs because other guests entering their rooms can be heard over the TV. The doors slam when closing. We could hear people outside talking from the 7th floor. The noise outside never seems to stop, trucks beeping while backing up, horns honking at all hours, and people yelling/talking. I would not stay here again.

Very updated, stylish, quiet (Even on the front street side), professional staff, convenient to walking shopping/restaurants. one note: there is not a typical free courtyard breakfast buffet option - instead it is a Starbucks cafe with a small breakfast menu selection: Egg sandwich, Oatmeal, muffins, Fruit, Yogurt for a charge.

The most terrible hotel I have ever stayed. Room 601 has a low frequency noise every 15 minutes. Talked to the front desk but couldn’t get any help. Did not sleep in the whole night.

Super hotel under a 5-min walk to Back Bay station
Great hotel behind the Boston Public Library and a close, 5-min walk to the Back Bay train station and Copley Square. Wonderful location for walking and transportation. Also about a 10-minute walk to the Boston Public Garden

Dated chain hotel that doesnt live up to photos!
Actual experience does not live up to photos. Feels like a dated chain hotel— worn finishes without much character. Room was clean, bed was comfortable, and staff was kind and welcoming: would have rated it much higher had I paid half the price!

This was a great location. This was our first trip to Boston and we were able to walk to a lot of restaurants, bars, and shops. It was also an easy walk to Fenway Park. The staff was nice and the room was clean.

We had a great stay. Hotel room was clean, great location and was walkable to all we wanted to see and do. Also close to the Hop On/Off trolley stop that made it even easier to see everything north of us. Would definitely stay here again. Only downfall was the hideabed. My teenage son slept on it the first night, but couldn't handle a second night in it and ended up sharing the bed with his sister.

Solid 3 star hotel as far as finish of the room. No complaints. Room was clean. Staff very friendly. The valet parking was pricey but very convenient and worth it. Would definitely stay here again.

This Courtyard is in a great location in the Back Bay Area of Boston. It’s minutes away by foot from the Prudential Center and Newbury Street with plenty of places to eat nearby. It is by no means a fancy hotel so we didn’t go in expecting much. The staff was all very friendly. There is a very strong “hotel”smell when you enter the lobby which is entirely unpleasant but just very strong, almost like they are trying to cover up something bad. This is an eco-friendly hotel and they don’t offer any housekeeping unless you stay is three days or longer. I am not opposed to this, however, our room was not very clean to start. There was some fecal matter in the toilet and long hairs in the shower/tub. The bed sheets looked to have some kind of set in stain, maybe pen? It made us wonder if anyone really cleaned the room after the previous guests. Generally speaking our room was very dark, no light in the entryway where the closet is, just a small sensor light in the closet. Our view was some awful back alley but I guess that’s just a result of getting what you pay for. All in all, this Marriott was not up to the standards of the brand and although, affordable and convenient, I would not look to stay here again.
