Shower needs to be improvedPosted Mar 25, 2015
Water never completely drained from the shower cubicle. There was always a little puddle left there. Apart from that everything was good. Rooms are basic, but location is the best part of this hotel. Close to everything !

Great location, friendly staff, great valuePosted Mar 23, 2015
Quick weekend trip for business. Convenient to convention center, Back Bay, Newbury St. shops, restaurants, etc. Not deluxe, but clean, modern, and up to date.

It was within blocks of my conference.Posted Mar 18, 2015
Pros: Location, cost.
Cons: speed of internet - all hotels to do with this.
Location: see above.
It is the second time that I have stayed there. It is around the block from the Back Bay Station and several malls. It is by far the most convenient hotel that I have stayed at in Boston. The quality for dollar is high.

Nice location and easy access to everythingPosted Mar 5, 2015
Cons: Needs workout room which I thought they had. Staff could have been friendlier.
Location: Close to the T and close to lots of shopping.
Had to wait 3 hrs. to get checked in. The workout room was not available for use. Staff did not seem overly friendly or concerned with any of the concerns.

Great location, friendly people and good valuePosted Mar 2, 2015
This property is located right behind the sumptuous Fairmont (the old Plaza) that fronts onto iconic Copley Square and it is a two minute walk to the Copley Square Mall that leads by walkways right through from the Westin via the Marriott to the Prudential Centre mall, the Sheraton and the Hynes Convention Centre. We typically stay at the Fairmont but it was full on this occasion. The other three nearby hotels mentioned are noisy convention hotels so I opted for Hotel 140. Let's be clear, it bears more resemblance to a nice YMCA than to The Fairmont but the staff are friendly and helpful, the rooms are small but clean and functional and the location cannot be beaten. All this for a half to a quarter of what the nearby big hotels are charging. Not bad at all.

Excellent hotel for access to Amtrak & subway.Posted Feb 21, 2015
Because of weather-related delays and cancellations of public transportation options, I chose to stay overnight in Boston in order to catch an Amtrak train the following morning to NYC. I enjoyed a good night's sleep with a bonus! After bundling up to go out for dinner in spite of the harsh weather conditions (gotta eat, right?) I discovered the year-old cafe on the ground floor. It offers a fresh salad bar, handmade wraps created to order from a large selection of interesting ingredients, and many prepared entrees.

Good night's stayPosted Feb 20, 2015
Great basic hotel, all the things you need at a great price. I asked for a wake up call the night before and never got it. Would still recommend to friends.

Great location!Posted Feb 19, 2015
Pros: The location was great!
Cons: The towels had some old looking stains on them. While I don't doubt they were clean, another round of thorough bleaching could have helped.
Location: Tons of restaurants that were easy to walk to. Also, Flours Bakery across the street is a must stop.
The hotel's location is AMAZING. It is located in the heart of Back Bay making it easy to walk to most places you might want to visit in the area, including numerous T stops and delicious restaurants. The hotel staff was friendly and very helpful, and you can't beat the room prices! The room was perfect for a short weekend in Boston and we would definitely recommend the hotel to anyone looking to stay in the city.
