So so hotel that calls itself a "spar" because it has a swimming pool. Note that the main picture shown on hotels.com is actually a picture of the very beautiful park next door. Parking is free but limited, no problem finding paid parking on the street but that could get pricey.
In the middle of nowhere so at least 20 minute drive to get anywhere. The town itself isn't exactly "jumping" but it seemed to have one of two restaurants and cafes.
The hotel has a bar, and some outside seating. The room was average, but functional and quite large. No A/C, during the hottest summer on record. I found the attitude of a young member staff downright rood -- completely ignoring me in favor of her phone. The rest of the staff were efficient and pleasant.
The breakfast was OK with the usual fish (one day salmon), various meats cereals and fresh bread. Coffee, tea etc.
This seemed to be a hotel for Germans that wanted a quite getaway, and enjoyed the concerts in the adjacent park (which we did). Although their description says multi-lingual, that tended to be not true for all the staff. Of the half-dozen hotels we stayed in during our Germany trip, this was the most unwelcoming.
