Nice hotel in a great location!

Posted Aug 2, 2015
We did the Cabot Trail and this was a great starting point. The staff was very helpful in giving us information about the Trail and other things to do. The room was very nice and we enjoyed the fireplace! We really enjoyed the Thistledown Pub at the hotel. We were able to eat and listen to fun Celtic music!

Comfortable stay

Posted Jul 28, 2015
Staf was friendly. We had one of the high end room's. The bed was very comfortable. The pub food and atmosphere was great. The pool however stinks of clorine did and not look appealing . Many of the buildings looked in need of repair. And updating / upgrades. The resort has lots of potential.

Short stay but nice accommodations and grounds

Posted Jul 21, 2015
Pros: Property setting and grounds. Staff very nice and helpful.
Cons: The carpet was quite worn and kitchen blower fan right outside window very loud. It didn't end up being a problem as we needed to get up early.
Location: Alexander Graham Bell was a very nice surprise. We knew about his main invention but had no idea all the others and the great story behind it.
Nice stop over in a lovely setting. The staff was very accommodating. The stay was only for one night but Baddeck is a beautiful stop-over at the end of the Cabot Trail.

Nice spot in lovely town

Posted Jul 12, 2015
We had a very nice stay here - large comfortable room (we were in main part of the hotel) and the grounds are very nicely kept. We only had breakfast in the restaurant - it was ok bit there are better places within walking distance. I'd definitely stay here again.

Beautiful place on the Cabot Trail

Posted Apr 23, 2015 on Hotels
This is a very nice and comfortable resort. Keep in mind that Baddeck is a small town. We visited in the off-season, and many places (including the hotel restaurant and spa) were closed. It is a great location if you are driving the Cabot Trail or exploring Cape Breton.
