Striking distance from Badlands N.P.

Posted Aug 13, 2014
Pros: Good value.
Location: Restaurant on site is usable.
Touring South Dakota at Sturgis time wasn't well-planned, but hotels like this one made the trip manageable.

Worst than Iraq.

Posted Aug 11, 2014
Pros: Nothing!!!!!!!
Cons: This place should not be on your list of recommendation. It's filthy, unsafe, dilapidated , unsanitary, need I go on.
Location: Camping.
I had better accommodation in tent city in Iraq then this place. Wouldn't recommend this place to my enemy.

Like a bad movie

Sketchy hotel in over-all poor condition. Pool covered by an old tarp and cinder blocks. Lobby had cats running all over the place. My wife was afraid to fall asleep but the room was pretty clean and served as a place to sleep.

Close it down!

Posted Jul 6, 2014
Pros: NOTHING
Cons: I think t He only way for improvement is to tear it down and rebuild.
Location: Our first choice was to stay in Wall, SD, but everything was full, this hotel was an hour away. Small town, typical for South Dakota.
Omg. Talk about trash. On the edge of town, run down area outside, needed paint and maintenance. Each room had a different outside door, one had a screen door on it and a half railing on the steps to the door. Lobby of hotel was a big room with a collection of all sorts of junk. We turned down the first room offered, had a big empty room with no bed, just fridge and microwave and a/c on the wall. The light was not working. The bed was in the back room with no a/c. We then took a room on second level. Furnishings were things from a yard sale...I really didn't even want to use the bed. Shower curtain was hanging in the tub, wet on the bottom, washcloth was stained, cobwebs in window...I can go on and on. There was no continental breakfast as stated on the description. Please take this hotel OFF of your listings, they should not be in business!

Old, outdated, but comfortable enough, very clean, a little expensive considering how out dated it is.

A place to sleep

Posted Oct 4, 2013 on Hotels.com
This place is really down to basically a clean place to sleep. No amenities like coffee or a hair dryer but thy couple that run it are friendly, it is pet friendly, there is a cafe right next door to buy your coffee, and it is right off the highway.

the rooms are very out of date. Shag Carpet! Nice owners but not a place for a long stay.

Black Hills Adventure

Pros: Bathroom was clean.
Cons: Make lobby inviting, staff more pleasing and available, prave parking lot, pool maintained or taken out, stop advertising nonexistance breakfast.
Location: Near one of the gates to Badlands NP. Limited food places.
The lobby was messy and dirty. No one was at the desk when we arrived late afternoon. We had to call to get service. Confusion over which room. No pool- it had a black tarp over it. No breakfast. And we parked next to a dead rattlesnake. It was difficult to locate by GPS also. We ended up leaving and going to another nearby motel.

Don't stay here

Posted Jul 14, 2013
We stayed here after driving from St Louis and were planning on goof to the Badlands...I would not stay here again. The only good thing about this place is free wifi.
