awesome!Posted May 12, 2014
Pros: Great surroundings and perfect for the arena.
Cons: The helpfulness of the staff when we were given two beds instead of the double I had booked.
Location: location was beautiful, however nothing at all to do in the area apart from walking.
superb hotel within beautiful surroundings. Breakfast fabulous. I did book for a double bed but got two singles and was not offered an alternative room when requested as the hotel was "fully booked" allegedly.

Close to the Event not to the cityPosted Sep 18, 2012 on Hotels.com
We booked this hotel because of the convenience to an event across the street. We took a bus and walked to the main entrance. Though the hotel is directly across the street from the bus stop, the entrance facing the street was closed and this forced us to walk the long way around with bags in the grass to get to the main entrance. This was inconvenient before and after the event as well after weeks of walking long distances daily. Seemed unnecessary to have that entrance closed as we could seen the front desk from there. Breakfast was very good.

Great value. Very impressive.Posted Apr 6, 2012 on Hotels.com
The hotel seemed to be brand new. Landscaping is still being done outside. We'd reserved a double with sofa bed for our family (2 adults, 2kids). When we entered our room we only found a double and one cot bed but there was plenty of room for another so we weren't too concerned. Before we even got to calling, the front desk called us, apparently they realized the error. The girl came upstairs to us and offered to either get us another bed or we could move to another room which she showed us--two connected rooms with a double in one and two twins in the other and a bathroom in each. We happily moved. We were surprised to find a nice kitchenette in both rooms we saw--refrigerator, sink and range top. The beds and bedding were extremely comfortable. Baths large and attractive. Nice touches included flat screen TVs, an iPod dock, free wi-fi, and very sound-proof rooms. Lobby and other common areas were very attractive as well. A very nice buffet breakfast with lots of variety was included--even though Hotel.com had not said so. Amazing deal in Oslo for what we paid.Parking in the garage did require a fee. Hotel is beautifully located right on the water with nice green areas and walking paths nearby. Very quiet and peaceful area. The only downside at all to the location was that the area seemed mostly office buildings. We didn't find many restaurant choices nearby.
