“Will go back”
Lovely hotel!! I highly recommend this hotel to anone traveling to Paris. You will need to take a cab to any place you would like to see, but it is located in the middle of everywhere. Don't be fooled by their picture on their website however. You CAN see the tower, but it is a distance.
“Too far from city!”
This hotel is way too far from the city. It's close to the metro station, but to get to the Eiffel tower, you have to travel for 40 minutes and be prepared to take two different metro's. The metro stations are very old and they have many beggers.The rooms are shabby looking, carpet was so old and worn out. Rooms have very small windows and it made the whole room look smaller. Breakfast buffet is good, big variety of breakfast items including crepes and crossaints - but not very fresh. .
“Not so close to downtown, but worth staying...”
Novotel Paris Est is a big and modern hotel. A huge lobby, bar, restaurant, a shop, and a convenient 24-hour snack shop welcome guests. Walking distance, you have a metro station (final stop), one limited Mall (with an Amcham market inside), 2 eletronics shops and few (ugly) restaurants. Room are comfortable, clean and modern. Like other new Novotel, alias. Problems: - Service at restaurant is veeeeery slow. Few people working. Be careful ! In addition, kitchen closes early. - Everyday, WiFi passwords for Internet access changes. Only 2 desktop available at lobby. - Space for left luggage after check-out is small. Not enough for the hotel size.

I recomment this hotel to everyone,it is slightly far from the city center but it is compensated by facing a bus and a metro station and a huge shopping mall and carrefour is not far Very convenient from all aspects

Although the help behind the front desk was trying to be helpful, there is still a language barrier. The room we checked into was HORRIBLE, like a prison cell with 2 twin beds. We upgraded to a suite which was lovely, but the TV did not work half the time, the pocket door between the bedroom and the living area was broken, and they would only leave 2 instant packages of coffee each morning. It was like pulling teeth to get coffe and cream in the room. Although recently remodeled, I would NOT recommend this property. Stay somewhere closer in to the city if you're visiting Paris and wish to see the sights.
