The best affordable Hotel in Baguio

Posted Mar 9, 2015
Pros: The receptionist are very kind. We arrived at the hotel early (8am) but they let us use the room reserve to us even if our reservation starts at 2pm.
Cons: I just hope the breakfast should be improved. I wish they could also include baguio longganisa & strawberries for dessert.
Location: I love the location, near sizzling plate (the best), good taste, burnham & market. Easy to find
My husband & I stayed at the hotel march 7-8, 2015, we we're expecting that the room (economy) we got would be so-so, but i was surprise to see it was clean, nicely decorated & very comfortable.

old hotel but fab location

Posted Dec 21, 2014
Pros: location
Cons: upgrading all of its facilities
Location: night market, dining, etc
If not for its location, I wouldn't stay at this hotel. Initially booked for 2 nights. Then extended. The extended rate was way too higher than my first 2 nights stay. Almost the same price for two nights. Parking is available and there is a guard to assist you. Check-in was smooth. Free set breakfast was so-so. Available from 6-10am only. The room service takes about 45 minutes before it arrives however almost all of the food they serve are absolutely delicious. Serving for rice toppings is plentiful. They should speed up in delivery. Room we got was a deluxe room. The room size is okay but everything, literally everything is OLD. Very 1970's interior. Their toilet is soooo dirty they do not clean the tiles. The shower heater is working but the pressure is so weak it's useless. They should replace all their shower heads, seriously. I really hate having a hard time showering when in hotels and this is by one of the worst showers. Bed is huge, TV are still old tubes. They should replace with LCDs. Cabinets are old as well. CURTAINS are see-through! They should replace this with blackout curtains. This is a no-no in hotel standards. Checkout was smooth. Staff are friendly, well most of them. Location is superb just across Good Taste Restaurant which is one of the best restaurants in Baguio. BDO ATM nearby and 7-11 nearby too. Shakey's nearby. Accessible to the night market near Burnham from 10pm-12mn. Will probably try other hotels nearby and book earlier.

Clean and comfortable; but updates needed

Posted Nov 25, 2014 on Hotels.com
This is a former grand old hotel that looks like it was built in the 1930s... And barely updated since. It has a tired feeling to it, and it is in need of some updates. WiFi was a joke in the room... I had to go into the hallways to get any speed at all. They have disclaimers posted all over the hotel about their poor WiFi service. That said, the room was comfortable, staff very friendly, plenty of hot water in the shower, basic complementary breakfast, good location with restaurants and entertainment nearby. It's a decent value IMJ... But there are so many hotels in Baguio that are NOT on the hotels sites, if I return I will likely look for a hotel once I arrive... Looking for a better value and a more updated hotel. (Unless I am staying over a weekend or during high season).

Clean hotel but....

Posted Nov 24, 2014 on Hotels.com
My family&i stayed for a night. The room we got was spacious but the bathroom was so small. The water heater&aircon were in good working condition.my knees would touch the wall whenever i used the comfort room.no toiletries were provided.good thing my wife always bring ours.overnight stay included free buffet breakfast but since we ate an hour before closing of breakfast, we had plated breakfast instead. Food and coffee were served cold but you can ask for it to be re-heated.the staff members weren't so welcoming and hardly smiled.the entrance going to the hotel is not condusive to elders and those who have babies because there's no elevator. The location is near burnham park, market and session road.
