Of course there are deserved bad reviews and then there is a 'general' impression you can get from the reviews overall. You find drastically different reviews and I attribute that to the fact that some people can just never be pleased! You know who you are! I am just writing that because of all of my experiences traveling, it has nothing to do with the Al Dana! I am writing my opinion for this hotel because I was very pleased, had a wonderful time and although I got a delivery entrance view the first time, I didnt say anything but the second time, my special request was accommodated with a great view and a balcony. The staff are very courteous and friendly and the food is great, I loved the Moroccan restaurant onsite and the beach was very pleasant to spend the day on. I like to go to new places but I will definitely would go there again and would recommend it to others.

Hotel exceeded expectations. Location and facilities outstanding for the price paid. 5 mins from airport and central Manama. Both pool and private beach area very well maintained and supervised. Restaurants were also of a high standard. Staff were all welcoming and helpful.

“A relaxing break”

A really lovely hotel. I received great service from all the staff. The room was lovely. The pool was wonderful and the beach was a lovely unexpected surprise. The only negative point I encountered was that the choice of food in the evenings is not great if you want to eat before 8 as we did as only one of the 3 restaurants is open at this time. I fully recommend it overall and I hope to return soon.

“A perfect break!”

The hotel is comfortable,the bedrooms are large and the service is very friendly and attentive.Food is very good in all restaurants. Don't miss breakfast! The swimming pools are beautiful and the sports facilities are good too. The beach is pleasant with a bar. A perfect holiday.

“Novotel Al Dana Resort Bahrain”

This was our second Christmas in three years, that we have spent at Al Dana. It was good in 2005 but even better in 2006. It is at present one of only a few beach hotels in Bahrain, even though it is close to the centre of Manama and Bahrain's National Museum (which is well worth a visit as is the Caligraphy Museum). The restaunts are good and two have excellent views across one of Manama's harbours as do the two bars, especially at night. The staff are always helpful and courteous. If we wish to have another Christmas in sunny climes, the Al Dana will be near the top of our candidate lists ( though the weather was only in the sixties). There are some fine shopping malls if a bit on the expensive side and a raft of good restaraunts.

Staff very friendly, particularly with kids. Excellent fish restaurant on site. Extensive buffet breakfast. Water sports well managed and beach bar ideally situated for drinks and snacks.
