Another Happy, Wonderful Stay @ the Beautiful Ritz

Posted Oct 14, 2014
Pros: Beautiful place, incredible service, temp controlled pool (cool water on a hot day), the beach, the restaurants, the room, the toiletries EVERYTHING
Cons: The bathrooms are a bit small.
Location: Trader Vics next door, wonderful restaurants at the hotel. The lovely private beach. Walking/jogging trails. You really do not need to leave the hotel
We have been coming to the Ritz for little mini breaks when we don't have enough time to go anywhere further away. It was the Eid Al-Adha holiday, and the hotel was fully booked. We were offered a cold towel and a delicious fruit drink at check-in, personally shown to our room by the wonderful Margarita (thank you!). We spent a near perfect 3 days and nights just laying around, swimming in and enjoying the temperature controlled (lovely cool water), shimmery, huge pool and ordering delicious cold drinks and pizza poolside from their outdoor pizza oven. Not to mention, staff generously would rove around the pool offering cold bottles of water and cold watermelon slices to all. At night, we ate at the fabulous restaurants or hung out at the Thai Lounge (with it's big golden dragon). My husband thoroughly enjoyed the gentlemen's themed smoking lounge downstairs with it's live singers/jazz music. Staff were incredibly professional and pleasant, prompt in their service, the room very comfortable with plenty of Asprey toiletries, room service excellent. At checkout, we mentioned that we had a slight problem with the temperature of the room (it did not cool down enough for us) and we were graciously invited to have lunch at the hotels expense at one of their restaurants by the gracious and lovely Margarita. As always, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay this time, and left - as we always leave- refreshed, happy and relaxed. Thank you Ritz Carlton for another happy, amazing stay!

Initial Savoring of the Place

Great one night stay. Only issue which was resolved after about 25minutes of my waiting in the lobby was the fact that my hotels.com booking was not in their reservations system

Overwhelming in more ways than one!

Pros: The beds are amazing! One of the most comfortable beds i have ever slept on.
The biggest issue i have with this hotel is their security. You go for a five star in the hope that you get privacy but instead it is more profiling and intrusive! It is complete overkill with no respect to privacy at all. Every few 100 meters you would be stopped by secuirty personnel to check your room number and whether you are a hotel guest and this made it an absolute nuisance! Is it because my partner and self are of different ethnicities? something i will never know.

Awesome stay

I chose the Ritz Carlton because I wanted to sit on a beach and stare at the water for the 39 hours I had in Bahrain. It was perfect. Really great jogging trail going from the marina where water sports are available to the small private island and past the beautiful little watchtower. The spa was wonderful also, the steam rooms and plunge pool and salt water pool with bubbly jets....so relaxing.

RITZ in Bahrain

Posted Jul 4, 2011 on Hotels.com
The bathroom was extremely small and the room was uncomfortable. We did not find a place to get the items out of our luggage. in addition, we asked for a see view but what we got was a very small window which covered mainly our neighbors windows!! The services and restaurants were very good and I intend to visit them but not stay in this hotel. It was a very poor value for money spent. Others 5 stars hotels in the same country had better facilities and room and were half the price.
