bike trip from Quebec city to la Malbaie

Pros: Old CP hotel, beautiful location
Cons: better trained and more staff, very slow service in the lobby bar and restaurants, no call back from phone call
Location: unless going to La Malbaie there is not much to do in Point au Pic
went on the Train from Quebec to La Malbaie. The train was magnificent, highly recommend it This hotel needs some TLC, the place seems tired and in need of a facelift Staff very busy in all lobby bars and restaurants. long waits for service and bills

Pros: Relaxed atmosphere, nice location in countryside.
Cons: Nothing really.
Location: Hotel offers plenty for a short stay.
Nice, relaxing break with my 5 year old, in a great setting.

Great Hotel

Pros: Location. History. Professionalism of the staff.
Cons: Charging for the wifi in this type of hotel is plain wrong in today's world. Also, the kitchen at the Bellerive restaurant was very slow.
Location: One of the best areas of Quebec
I had great expectations and wasn't disappointed at all.

Disappointed.

The hotel setting was great; the view marvellous; but getting there and parking was horrible. Set on a one way street with no signage made it impossible to get parked and if you miss the lot you have to go all the way back to the highway, then back on the one way street, which at night was very frustrating! For a Fairmont that is not what I expected.

Parking Fees

Pros: The physical environment, the view, the food.
Cons: Free Parking, Free Valet. more parking place.
Location: Play golf, fishing, hunting
All good until you come to the Lobby of the Hotel by car, full of logage, the valet told us we have to pay and grab our Logage with us? You have to pay and for the parking and transport your logage!!! In a 5 stars hotel like this, you dont expect to walk 400 metres hand full.! So cheap!

Beautiful classic hotel

It was a great hotel! The ambience is very classic old school resort. We had a great time! We golfed, lounged by the pool and had some terrific meals. The food was a bit on the expensive side, but so was Quebec City so nothing out of the ordinary. The kids club looked like fun, but our 9 year old was too old for it. Golf for the kids was very reasonable. The views are stunning from every where in the hotel and well worth the trip.

Perfect hotel

Everything in our stay was perfect, from the room to the restaurants. Service and staff were also some of the best i have seen. I recommend it to everyone.
