No Hesitation to recommend!Posted Mar 6, 2014
Pros: Everything. Great views from the rooms. Nicely located on the island, ideal spot for home base.
Cons: Possibly a larger pool. Fine for the off-season though.
Location: Right on bus route. 10 minutes to Georgetown, 30 to Hamilton. Consult the concierge, extremely helpful with planning your activities.
Grotto Bay is a wonderful place to stay for a visit to Bermuda. Very comfortable spacious rooms with great view of the Bay. Staff was friendly and always courtious and helpful. You will not regret choosing this hotel.

Nice family resort.Posted Mar 5, 2014
Pros: The friendly staff, the grounds, the beds were comfortable and the swimming was great.
Location: In the off season there are not a lot of restaurants nearby but the buses are easy to use and St. Georges is only 10 min. away.
We enjoyed our stay at the Grotto Bay. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The grounds are beautiful and the views spectacular. We would stay again! Our biggest issue was that the internet wifi did not reach our room although it did seem to work in the lobby. We went to CellOne in Hamilton and got a sim card and data time. Overall a great stay.

Lovely StayPosted Mar 3, 2014
Pros: Views, room was nice as was the comfy bed.
Cons: The dining room table/placemats!
Location: Timing is everything. We visited at the "off" season. Many shops in Hamilton were closed on Monday & Tuesday and many water related cruises were too.
Enjoyed our stay and the location as well as the clean room and wonderful view of Bailey's Bay. Staff were very friendly. My only issue was that while dining in the Hibiscus Dining Room, I noticed that the plastic placemats from prior diners were reused and that one night, my placemat had many stains from spilled food from previous diners. Gross! It was obvious that they were not removed from guest to guest, so my napkin & cutlery were lying on a dirty surface. Staff replaced the mat once I pointed it out, but what about all the other meals I ate there?

AmazingPosted Mar 1, 2014
It's amazing to enjoy amazing scene with my loving family. I went to Bermuda with 3 kids(1, 3, 6 years) and my wife. The room (ocean view) is tiny and cozy.

Pros: just about everything,
Cons: friendly bartenders
Everything was perfect except 1 bartender, Daren or Dwayne (I think), not a nice person and same thing mentioned from other guest including myself.

Too Far From ActionPosted Feb 24, 2014
Hotel is literally 2 mins from the airport and a little away from the 'fun'. The hotel grounds and rooms are clean. Staff was not really knowledgeable or as eager to help as other islands I've been. Visited during 'off season' which was VERY boring. There's literally nothing to do at the hotel - the pool bar was closed so you had to trekk drinks from restaurant bar to the pool or beach (no one to take order closer to pool/beach). Bus stops outside hotel so you can take it to Hamilton where they have restaurants and bars. Those were dead too, again because of off season. The only decent rest/bar we found was Pickled Onion. They have DJ Fri and Sat after 10 PM. Do yourself a favor and stay in Hamilton if you plan on doing anything fun - you can rent moped to see the rest of the island.

Beautiful view, disappointing service.Posted Feb 24, 2014
Pros: Spectacular view and clean and beautifully manicured grounds. Very peaceful and clean. Afternoon tea served with cookies.
Cons: Renovation of wifi service needed. Food needs big improvement for the prices. Better manners in a hostess and sign regarding attire should be posted.
Location: All buses into Hamiliton, St. George and the Dock's is available in front of the resort. Great food in town.
Check in was quick and efficient and our bags were in the room before we were. The view is stunning. Beautifully manicured lawns, gorgeous blue bay, average size pool but clean. The beach is small but very peaceful. Our room was oceanside so we had a balcony that opened out right onto the bay and the pool. Our room was at the very bottom of the resort so we had to climb up and down the steps from our room to the main building that had 2 restaurants. There was no pool service, so the climbing up and down the steps to get a drink got old real quick. They did send down a pool waiter once I complained. They were doing construction on the pool bar and the pool grill wasn't opened ( off season). If you are planning to do a work vacation, where you need to use the wifi and get on your device, forget it. The worst wifi I ever had to deal with and they charge you $15.00 a night or $40 for 5 nights or $80 for a week. It doesn't work anywhere except in the main building near the front desk. It was the most frustrating thing ever. I complained so much they took it off the bill. The food at the Palm Court dining room was average at best. The soup had no flavor and everything was pretty bland and expensive. So if you can avoid it the better. The Hibiscus Room was much better but much more expensive and the hostess told my husband that he was inappropriately dressed. She did this once she sat us down and everyone else heard her. He didn't have a shirt with a collar. Not worth the hassle.

Bed was great and so is the food!Posted Feb 20, 2014
Only ther one day, but no complaints. They upgraded my room without me asking at no charge. Rooms are a bit of a hike down many stairs, but nice scenery.

Exceeded my expectationsPosted Feb 20, 2014
Pros: Very helpful staff and the overall facility was in much better condition than I expected.
Cons: The fitness center was disappointing, given that they advertise one. The cost of cabs to/from downtown was expensive.
Location: Very convenient to the airport but a long cab ride to downtown. The cost of the room more than offset the cost of transportation.
Frequent business traveler to Bermuda and I typically stay near downtown. Rate at Grotto was very good so I decided to give it a try. The staff was very friendly, my room was nicer than expected and the food in the restaurant was good.

Very nice beach. Great swimming.Posted Feb 19, 2014
Pros: Location on the island. Friendly staff.
Cons: We found the meal options very limited. The daily menu could be improved.
Location: The hotel is in a good location for many things on the north end of the island.
Very nice stay. Close to shopping and St. George. We were very happy.
