There is a secure fence around the whole property. It is clean and quiet. We have stayed there before and will undoubtedly stay again. It is my favorite motel in Bakersfield.

I was greeted as soon as I walked in with a smile. Great service all around. 5 stars and a thumbs up. The room was cleaned, spacious and smoke free. Plenty of parking and walking distance to restaurants and shops.

We loved the cleanliness of the room, the comfort of the bed, and the nice grounds. However, whoever was in room #106 was so loud, into the wee hours of the morning (3-4 a.m.!) that it woke us up. Pounding on the wall telling them to quiet down did not work. Other than that, we will definitely be staying at this hotel next trip to the Mechanics Bank Stadium and Arena.

Nice clean rooms. Older part of Downtown Bakersfield. My only complaint about the hotel is that it is the only Best Western or Best Western Plus that charges for breakfast. Come on now, even the Sleazy 8 has a free breakfast buffet. I will stay at the Holiday Inn next time.

I did not think the staff, the front desk were accommodating or even interested in answering questions or help us. When asked for either a cot or extra blankets, the answer was NO, nothing more. They knew knowing about the surrounding area and could not direct us to another source. Its ok for a one night stay and nothing else. $5.00 for a cup of coffee? in their restaurant. come on..

Really nice big rooms, very clean and comfortable. Sort of cheap on the toiletries and complimentary items and don’t expect to get a late check out here. They are very tight with this offer. One time I arrived at 2:30 am due to work and I requested a late check out at front desk; which they obliged. Next morning I had 2-3 room attendants banging on door at 30 mins til normal check out time of 11 and. Even though I informed each person they kept coming; which was followed by the manager calling room and informing me I missed check out; to which I let them know I had requested and was approved to have a late check out at 12:30pm so as to recapture some sleep lost from working late and indeed checking in super late. The manager didn’t believe me, so I got to a point where I couldn’t be as polite and told her that I was going to check out at 12:30pm because that is what was agreed upon checking in, and where her problem should lie is with her attendant who works overnight and their lack of either communication or policy direction of her manager but in all of this she should not be accusing me the customer of lying or become rude and hostile until she spoke to her employee and gotten the information from them. I am not surprised with the current climate of customer service and the continued dissolve of good business and customer satisfaction. Made me feel they weren’t doing well and couldn’t handle an hour more of wages of the maid. I don’t know

Supervisor was VERY rude at check in. Had us waiting for 20 min just standing there without any acknowledgment she asked for ID and credit card. Reservation was made under a different name then she proceeded to say I can’t find anyone under that name. I told her reservation was made under a different name and that was the end for her. She started giving attitude asking “why I didn’t tell her since the beginning, anyone who makes a reservation automatically knows to give that information out”. I then told her she never asked and how was I suppose to know what she was doing if she didn’t ask which is her job and had already had us waiting there for 20 min. I asked to speak to supervisor because that was no way to talk or greet your customers. She said she was the supervisor. I asked to be given a business card of someone above her. One of her assistants walked in at that time, I believe she was Korean, very nice young lady. Our stay was for two nights. We were there for a Cheer competition which meant there was so many little ones, younger girls etc. My friend was followed to the event, was approached by this man who was escorted out because of his suspicious behavior. Multiple parents had brought it to our attention not to let the girls walk down the hall alone because of this creep. Come to find out, it was the same man who followed my friend to the event. Many parents reported this to front desk. We were told they couldn’t do anything about it because he had a room there.

The room was smoke-free, however, it had I light smoke smell. A yellow stain of water showed on the ceiling, and repaired spots showed on the ceiling. Some areas needed some dusting and cleaning. The only positive of my room was the beds, the sheets were clean and acceptable. Lastly the price did not reflect the quality of the room-over price.

The odor in the hall was terrible. They out is in another building with no other people around and very sketchy. The homeless and drug population is all around which you have to keep in mind when you come and go. The property looks pretty on the outside but too expensive for what they offered. The bed was bumpy as well. And the blow dryer almost blew up when I used it. I’m not sure if they check their equipment often. Staff was so great though

While the room itself may have been non-smoking, the bed sheets certainly were not and reeked of old cigarette smoke to the point that the pillow I brought still smells of smoke 2 days later. I chose this hotel because the Travelocity description states "Electric car charging station on site" When I asked at the desk they said they did not have one after all. Please remove that from your hotel description if you do not offer it.
