Cons: Staff could be more helpful.
We booked a room with two queen beds. We were placed in a room with two double beds- did not notice the discrepancy until late- the staff would not make restitution and indicated that they could not because we booked through Expedia. The staff offered us two cups of free coffee for our trouble.

Dear Traveler, I am sorry you feel as though my staff did not compensate you adequately. When a guest pays through expedia we have no way to financially compensate you. We hope you do decide to stay with us again and that you have a more enjoyable stay! Have a great day!

Nice hotel - what you would expect from a Mariott.

Posted Aug 11, 2014
Pros: Clean, friendly staff, modern lobby, good pool.
Cons: Nothing
Location: Not much
Stayed for one night with the family on vacation, and it was a nice hotel - no real complaints at all. The wifi was better than most of the hotels we have stayed at. The pool was nice. Overall about what a typical Mariott is, which is a good thing!

Stopped on the way to Vegas.

Pros: Right off the highway.
Cons: Clean and update.
Location: Costco is close.
Old dirty hotel for a Marriott. It was convenient for Costco gas right across the street. No complementary breakfast. Did laundry and being handicapped I had to walk to the end od the hotel. The halls and laundry room were to hot to stay in.

Motel was great but Expedia had my name wrong for reservation! Had to drive back and forth between Marriots to get it right and check in making us late to retirement party

Surprisingly nice after driving thru Bakersfield

Posted Jul 16, 2014
It was super clean and comfy. Easy check in and out. Missed breakfast as it closed pretty early without notice, but overall nice one-night stop to alleviate our long drive.

Bakersfield accommodations

Posted Jun 30, 2014
Bakersfield generally has a bad reputation with me when it comes to hotels. This is why I chose Courtyard Marriott this time. The shower had wimpy pressure (even by hotel standards). The TV was configured incorrectly so that the HD picture bled off the screen. The AC made the room either to hot or to cold. Never could find a happy medium. Alas another Bakersfield disappointment.

Thank you Aaron for trying the Bakersfield Courtyard. It sounds like you have not had very good luck with hotels in Bakersfield. Everything we do is aimed at ensuring the guest has a good experience, is helping the envioronemnt with conservation and recycling efforts, and showing off Bakersfield. Please forgive me if we let you down in any way. Jenny Gatlin General Manager

sweet suite

Posted Jun 22, 2014
Pros: Cleaning staff did a great job.
Cons: Make sure that room keys stay coded during entire stay. After a long day out we were forced to go up to the office and have this done.
Location: We were in town to do a walk through of our new home. During the hot months of summer in Bakersfield your best bet is to drive to the coast.
One of the better hotels to stay at in Bakersfield. This was an especially nice suite, having the bed in a separate room is always great. Just wish that the hallways & elevator were cooler. By the time you get to your car you are already sweating even though your room was a perfect temperature.
