Access to freeway

Posted Jan 24, 2015
Pros: Access to freeway and free breakfast. Hostess was very nice.
Cons: New carpets/curtains/fixtures & linens.
We arrived to our hotel and we were very disappointed in our room. The hotel is a bit outdated. The carpet in our room was dingy and old. The facet to the shower/tub dripped all night. The hotel could use some new linens and updates to the room. Unfortunately we would not be staying here again.

Needs Refurbishing

Posted Jan 15, 2015
Pros: Nothing. We didn't like anything about this motel.
Cons: Everything.
Location: Right next door to Buck Owens Crystal Palace, which was nice, but there is also a La Quinta Inn next to Crystal Palace Motel, stay there instead.
It's obvious why it no longer a Best Western any more. It hardly meets their standards. The entire place needs a major update, perhaps it just wasn't in the budget for Best Western. Our door stuck so hard in the door frame we had to bust in with our shoulder to get it open. The door handle was so loose it appeared as if it was about to come off. The shower was terrible, you have to keep adjusting the faucets to keep from either being ice cold or blistering hot. Stay at the La Quinta Inn right next door, much better place.

Crystal Palace

Posted Nov 15, 2014
Pros: Close to Crystal Palace
Cons: Some repairs needed to plumbing in our room
Location: Crystal Palace
Great to have a hotel so close to the Crystal Palace. We were able to walk over for dinner and a concert and enjoy a leisurely evening. Excellent breakfast included in the price of our room and courteous and attentive personal to meet our needs.

Nice price nice hotel

Posted Nov 2, 2014
Was in Bakersfield overnight and really enjoyed my stay. Check in was easy and they even had the room ready a little early and late check out at noon was amazing. As a single woman i felt safe in property and my friend even had to check in with the front desk before being allowed back to my room. The area was coinvient to the highway and many local attractions and though not somewhere I would necessarily walk around I felt safe leaving my car in the lot and saw no unsavory characters hanging around. I didn't get a chance to try the free breakfast and if I had one suggestion it be that you should be able to take your breakfast to go,which was not allowed. Besides that I would definitely stay here again.

Great public areas, average room

A very impressive lobby and grounds around the pool. The room itself was very average and nondescript. The complementary breakfast was in the restaurant on the premises from a limited but adequate menu. There is no elevator to the second floor.

Hôtel très limite au niveau qualité...

Posted Oct 18, 2014
Pros: Le petit déjeuner gratuit, pratique
Cons: La literie.
La chambre est spacieuse mais la literie est de mauvaise qualtié. Les fenetres ne s'ouvrent pas et nous étions juste en face de la lingerie (donc bruyant) alors que l'hotel ne semblait pas plein !

Fantastic

The hotel was very nice and quiet for being next to freeway. I thought breakfast would be powdered eggs and such but it was a restaraunt and we had real eggs, bacon, hashbrowns and toast included in our stay. I was very impressed with the service they provided and the hot tub was fantastic
