We like to stay at this property. However, this time, staffing was very limited and the breakfast option was limited and ran out very quickly in the morning.

Our carpet was recently shampooed. That is a good thing, except our carpet was still a bit damp in spots. Could explain why our window was cracked open when we arrived. A couple of homeless men in parking area checking out cars. Kind of disturbing. When my wife went to wash her face, it took 5 mins to get hot water. Not a good thing in a state getting water from other states. It was nice to have Dennys right next door. Bed is very comfy. Staff friendly. More industrial type neighborhood.

This place was a mixed bag. The staff were pleasant and the facility was clean however our bathroom smelled terribly musty. Lots of restaurants but many you had to drive to. Lots of stuff going on all night long. Hard time sleeping.

First surprise was pet fee one night$75. I travel a lot Hilton owned especially in a smaller town is usually $50 till 4 nights are stayed. So much for policy😳😳😳 When I opened my room door the smell hit me ( vomit and alcohol) like a bar bathroom!!! The room was superficially clean, but all the corners had lots of dust and debris. Shower towel rack was broken. Right next to highway and noise was also a factor. This is my first negative review. Hampton you can do better!!!!!

Shower wall
When I jumped into the shower I looked at the shower walls and they were full of hair. Looks like they just wiped and left hair on the walls. Not a good experience. I had to clean it myself.

The disabled friendly room feature is great. What will be nice is to add hashbrown or other vegetarian items in breakfast and also reduce wastage of plates and such. Too much use-and-throw

Almost great
We opted out of the daily housekeeping service, which was fine overall, except for one situation. There were no towel bars to hang wet towels, and the weather was damp, so by the end our our four-day stay we just had a pile of soggy towels in the bathroom. Having to call a housekeeper is not the best solution for this problem. We also had to request (three times) a second chair for our room-- it only had one, and there were two people registered. The beds were very comfortable!

This is a good place it's clean I didn't have a big problem with noise like there has been some other complaints with. Bed was comfortable temperature was good other than the fact that because of the way the room is set up the bathroom doesn't get terribly warm. I was on the fourth floor and literally the hot water took over 5 minutes to get hot. Yes I timed it. But once it got there it was decent. For the price that you pay for this place they probably should work on the hot water a little bit cuz that is a big thing with people. Not a ton of food around to go eat at but there are some places. Easy on and off the freeway. As far as other places in Bakersfield this is probably one of the better places to stay.

Too close to freeway noise
We stayed here to be close to family for 2 nights. I expected better from a Hampton Inn. The bed was comfortable but the sheets kept pulling out of the corners, the bathroom faucet was hard to turn off and on, the thermostat wasn't calibrated correctly so we had to keep messing with it. Also it did not have a fan only seting which would have been nice to drown out the VERY NOISY freeway. So sleeping was quite disrupted. The breakfast was better than most places and over all the hotel was clean and it had large elevators which is nice when you are using their luggage cart. Due to the freeway noise permeating the room, we won't stay here again.

We hardly had a good night sleep due to trash company picking up trash bins early at 5:30 am by the rear side of building next to Starbucks and also you can hear the train whistle twice at night. wife said is the My Cousin Vinny Hotel now😁.
