“Nice clean hotel next to Hwy 99”

This is a modern and well-maintained budget hotel in Bakersfield right next to Hwy 99. It was my first stay at this hotel and I stayed just one night. The front desk staff was friendly and professional. The room was clean and well maintained, except for two minor items: One of the 3 telephones didn't work (but the other two worked fine)) and the bedspread had some small holes worn in in (which was weird because everything else looked new and the bed was very neatly made). Parking, wi-fi, and continental breakfast were free, though the continental breakfast was just a basic one. I did not have a chance to use the pool, exercise room, or business center so cannot rate them. I stayed there while attending an event at Buttonwillow Raceway by I-5, because the hotels in Buttonwillow were full. This Ramada hotel was much nicer than the two I've tried in Buttonwillow itself, but it is about 20 miles further away from the racetrack. I would be happy to stay there again, though for racetrack events I might prefer the hotels closer to the track even though they are not nearly as nice as this one.

“Large rooms”

The suites here are large. I stayed here when I was moving to Bakersfield and I needed a home base. There is a beer vending machine in the lobby which is nice. There are also a bunch of restaurants near by, including a Sizzler. This is a good travel stop. The continental breakfast was average. My only complaint was that the staff prevented me from bringing my continental breakfast to my room.

Had a nice big room with high ceilings, but the best thing they've got going is the beer vending machine out in the lobby. Waffle machine in breakfast room was nice too. A little funky, but overall, a solid okay place to stay.
