Nice pet friendly rooms. A lot of noise all night from boys hockey teaom. Ao lot. Of noise all night. My vehicle was almost broken into. Whoever did it really vandalized my vehicle. Would we stay there again? No don't think so

Minneapolis trip

Posted Dec 13, 2014 on Hotels.com
The heating system in our room did not appear to work properly. The problem was addressed right away when we told them about it, and we were moved to another room. The heating unit in that room did work but not very well. The controls on the wall units appear to be on backwards which makes it very difficult to set the temperature. And it took about 2 hours to bring the room up to a comfortable level.

It was just an OK hotel and nothing more.

Pros: nothing
Location: did not do anything but visit a rehab relative.
The breakfast was very limited. There was no cups or tray in the room. When I went to the front desk no one was there but in the back room talking to others.

Falling apart!

Posted Oct 9, 2014 on Hotels.com
The hotel is old and shows its age. The beds were hard not comfortable to sleep on. The bathroom was literally falling apart! The shower curtain rod was falling off the wall, because of this the shower curtain would fall to the center and not close completely. Without the curtain closed water ended up all over the floor. The shower head is not very high, at 5'6" I felt like I was doing the limbo just to get under it. The outlets in the bathroom were loose, seeming to be unsafe to use; the GFI outlet on the wall would trip with plugging in a phone to charge and the provided hair dryer. The outlet for the refrigerator and microwave only provided one working outlet; thus the microwave was not useable unless moved or refrigerator unplugged. The service provided was minimal. Items were not restocked that were used. Breakfast is provided for a short time 6-9 AM including the weekend. Even though sitting there having breakfast, the staff begin to put things away not asking/confirming people were done. Beware your bill!! There may be a "hidden charge". The bill may have a charge listed for $1.50 a night as a "safe charge", for having the safe in your room, even when not used. They will tell you it's removed, but ensure that it truly is taken off! The bill itself is not itemized when you get it, so hard to determine what other "fees" there are. The rate I received for the room was far too high for the room, its conditions and the service provided at this facility.

Perfect location to get up and catch a plane in reasonable time without having to go into Hudson or Minneapolis, yet closer than Menomonie and Eau Claire. Clean, comfortable, fridge and microwave. Indoor pool, tiny breakfast area. Fair price.

Quality 3 star hotel

Posted Sep 2, 2014 on Hotels.com
Hotel staff was friendly even during the busy Labor Day weekend check-in. The facilities were clean and everything worked fine. I was pleasantly surprised to see a mini-fridge in our simple double queen room as well as a pool and hot tub. This was a very good find. *Note- The surrounding area is a bit rural and the closest meal options are some fast food places.

Disappointing

Posted Sep 2, 2014
Pros: Location was really the only plus.
Cons: It is important for the guest to feel welcomed. We are spending money for a service and shouldn't feel like an inconvenience.
With few hotels in the area off the highway, we didn't have many options. The clerk/Manager at the desk was rude and unwelcoming. I felt like we were inconveniencing him by staying there. The room was ok, no frills.

It had a bed

Posted Aug 27, 2014 on Hotels.com
Yikes. Well ... it was a hotel. With a bed. For sleeping in. The hotel is in a yucky location surrounded by many closed and falling apart (literally) buildings. The bathroom floor had LOTS of hairs all over ... and the shower head was at least an entire foot too low on the wall. Showering was .. interesting. The carpet in our room was ... wet. I could go on and on - it was gross. I wouldn't stay there again.
